It's like watching the passing of the torch to the next generation of riders. And I love seeing that rowdy, aggressive technical riding style just continue to progress. Love it!
Its so rad seeing the progression of all of you guys. I moved to CO for the snowmobiling dream back in 2008. It didnt work out but seeing everything evolve has been cool to watch.
Lets face it, both of you guys have that something special that the rest of us don't. Your ability to read, react to the terrain and make the snowmobile work for you - it's truly amazing to watch. It's not about who is better, it's about the sport and watching it evolve. Chris sounded sick, you are at elevation, Chris has a mod sled, etc... who cares, I appreciate how you both admire your individual skill sets and are so very humble. Keep on pushing your limits, avoid injuries, and thanks for creating awesome content - I can't wait for the season to get started!
Hey Buddy Caught on to ya through freerider! Truly appreciate what a great representation of what an athlete representing a sport should be! The level of respect you give to every level of rider is something thats lost on many these days! Im in no shape to ever ride with you but I'll take ya for a fack of a mini jet boat ride if you ever find yourself in my back yard(Northern BC Canda)! Cheers! Ian

Caleb, awesome content man. This was by far my favorite video yet. Thanks for letting us see inside your world some more. Your little details dont go unoticed and you are pushing this industry ahead. Your an inspiration for my own progression. Cheers.
You’re all my favorite riders. You were introduced to me at the beginning of last year. And wow! I love your passion for snowmobiling. As I’ve said in other comments I am glad you found your passion in life and it makes a lot of people want to learn back country riding. All of you are amazing. And thank you for your time and content. We enjoy it.
Great Video ! I would have to say about YOU and all the guys you mentioned at the end of this vid , that your ALL leaders in the Snowmobile industry.. You guys are "breaking trail" LOL into new ground , finding out more of what the sleds can do and helping this sport grow exponentially....
I didn’t start riding until I was 40 in1996, I fell in with very aggressive riders that beat me to death the first few years, this brings back such good memories, pylon racing in the trees is so freaking hard, I’m old now and all I can say is tear it up as much as you can.
Great video, Caleb! I'm even more stoked to take your clinic next season. I'd love to see you pair up with Brett Turcotte up in Revy. Or maybe get him and Chris down to ride with you in Seeley. Anything like that would be awesome.
This was a pleasure to watch. You've got a great eye on the video taking, and it was a blast to see the prolonged clips in the steep of Chris. It seems that all I ever see of Chris is the quick HERO shots, but with what you taped, holy cow, you ain't kidding about him being smooth. I've never seen that side. The 2 of you have each have your own style, and each on there own merits is just amazing. Those uphill 360 spins Chris did were mind blowing (13 minute mark). Can't say I've ever heard you breath so hard, but hey, 12,000' will do that to a guy. Thanks for the time and effort putting these videos out.

I’ve never commented about that “best rider” topic, I have watched Chris since he was on an arctic cat, always liked him, he is a phenomenal rider no doubt! The best videos ever when it comes to tree riding, besides yours Caleb and Matt’s. But, I think you need to go up that gnarly creek that Keith goes up in his videos. In gnarly technical riding you out ride Chris in my opinion, your aggression is over the top but that being said you are almost 20 years younger then he is. I wish I was young again, me and a few guys I know I think helped start some of the hard core BC sled movement in the later 90's, but what so many of todays hardcore riders are doing is insane; especially when it comes to the big gaps. I'd love to see the lines you could pull on his cheater sled😂 10" of track in that snow is huge. At seely my 163 can feel heavy and slow to turn and I keep looking at 155's. However, at the end of the day when we're all gassed, I can just point and go on the 163 while my 155 buddies take 3 runs and poack tracks to make it out. Trying to bowtie a 163 isn't happening at my skill level unless it's a POW day in most of the Montana snow though, and let's face the fact that you need a nimble sled to pick your way through with your style.
Lots of good riders out there, id say you are probably one of the best well rounded MNT sledders for sure. But one style that is pretty fun to do and looks really cool on film, I don;t know what you call it, but downhill ski inspired lines like Brody Evans & Derick Woods chit back in the day. Rob Alford is old balls now, but if you ever get a chance to ride with him, I swear he knows all the coolest & funnest downhill pow lines in Revelstoke.
Brodie Evan’s really took that style to the next level! I still go back and watch his videos all the time. I don’t think anyone has come close to that big of air on smooth downhill lines
I wear motocross gloves most of the time. The only time they're cold is when I'm pulling skis or digging so the 509 or klim ones go on for that. Grip heaters on low, because there's no insulation to resist the heat! I may be weird being an electrician and working outside most of the year, the cold is just there and I never notice until I can't feel fingers though... 😂
@@northwestcustom8531 I love the stock boost clutching at lower elevation but I think a different setup would be helpful that high. Thanks for watching and the support!
Looks like Chris running a pro setup,vs the khaos, has an advantage with keeping the nose down, floating vs trenching, and carrying more momentum. That 155 khaos just looks like a handful, and exhausting! I know you young guys like that playfulness, but I'd need an oxygen mask!😂
@@CalebKesterke : Oh, I can see that, and you're allot of fun to watch, and if I was 28, instead of 48, I'd probably choose the khaos over the pro too!
Aside from his massive skills I would think having the lighter sled with more power (900 boost I think) and 30lbs less body weight would also help with the momentum.
I think they shaved more like 60 lbs. Carbon skid, titanium everything, etc. He said he could drop 3 more lbs in the suspension, but lose the remote adjust and air. Quite literally the only weight left on the sled. 😂 I'm waiting for him to figure out how to ditch the hood and panels all together, and just run a clutch cover for a few pounds.
Thanks for the kind words my friend 👊🏻. Your riding and tenacity is unreal to watch in person! I can’t wait for round 2 😎🤟

Calebs Switchbacks are so much more rowdy than Chris's.
Man at 6:58 I was thinking what kinda trick was that!?!? 😂😂😂😂
A trick I need a lot of work on to perfect 😂
As soon as the guy at 9:46 started talking, i knew he was Canadian.😂
That was dope
Sahen skinner is pretty fun to watch. It would be cool if you ride with him.
I’ve had lots of good days with Sahen! We rode Sweden together last spring
@CalebKesterke shoot i didn’t realize that. I enjoy the content Caleb and appreciate what you and Matt and Brett all do. Keep on keeping on!
what track and size did you have and what track and size did chris have? how do you feel about matt e. riding compared to chris's and yours?
Мы катаем 12 мая ещё 🎉 .Фильм получился бомба 💣👍
My favorite riding is Muskoka
I think you did an amazing job keeping up with Burandt considering he is on a Lightweight mod and you're on a stock khaos boost.
Was this footage from this month or last season?
This was from last April
Dude, were in Montana can I find snow like this!!! We have NO SNOW!!!
Not yet but it’s coming 😎
6 more days, and we're supposed to get a dump. Hopefully that sets up the base for another 5-10 foot later on!
What kind of gloves you running at 10:00 They look snug and grippy
509 Factor Pro gloves. They are what I wear 99% of the time! Very thin and not very warm but incredible grip
@@CalebKesterke Thanks Caleb. Another wicked video. Keep up the good work!!
Thank you 😊
Drop Keith Curtis in there and then it's my top three riders!!! You guys are the tops!
Seemed like your sled was bogging pretty hard in the low end? Unless that’s just the GoPro sound
Clutching was definitely a little off for that elevation
@@CalebKesterke that makes sense forgot you were at like 12k 😂 I just noticed it! Sick riding thanks for the reply!
@@northwestcustom8531 I love the stock boost clutching at lower elevation but I think a different setup would be helpful that high.
Thanks for watching and the support!
What kind of turbos does Burandt run? Or is he just running the stock Polaris turbo?
I believe it’s the polaris turbo with a higher HP tune
Looks like Chris running a pro setup,vs the khaos, has an advantage with keeping the nose down, floating vs trenching, and carrying more momentum. That 155 khaos just looks like a handful, and exhausting! I know you young guys like that playfulness, but I'd need an oxygen mask!😂
Yeah the 165 Pro definitely has the advantage for that type of riding! I love how rowdy the 155 Khaos is though
@@CalebKesterke : Oh, I can see that, and you're allot of fun to watch, and if I was 28, instead of 48, I'd probably choose the khaos over the pro too!
What I would give to ride with you guys for 1 day.
Awesome
“I missed the sweet spot….” 😂 Bet you were smiling a lot during the edit.
Smiled a lot during the edit and even more during the ride. Some of my favorite days of tree riding ever
Also would have loved to see you on chris’s mod
I’m scared of that sled. Too much power and too much carbon fiber. Carbon fiber doesn’t last long around me
Снежок зачётный у вас ребята!
Muskoka freerider!
I'm waiting for him to figure out how to ditch the hood and panels all together, and just run a clutch cover for a few pounds.
@@leftyeh6495 I was referring to body weight. Burandt is probably around 160 lbs and Caleb looks closer to 190.
