I remember making that mistake whenever I first got in the car audio.
I guess I’ll use this opportunity to make a public service announcement. Before you buy speakers, subwoofers, anything really... Spend all the money that you were going to spend on subwoofers and speakers and by the highest quality amp that you can afford. Take it home and put it in the closet. No you will not install it. No you will not have speakers in your car that day.
What you are doing is ensuring you have a solid foundation from which you can build upon. I promise you this will save you money in the long run. You can always turn them down. Once you graduate to JL you’ll thank me.
So since I already installed some jbl speakers it’s too late to get a amp ??

Make sure you have a 5 volt output from your head unit if possible to that amp. Go with high quality wiring in the correct gauge.

Luckily for me I had a bad ass Rockford Fosgate sound system, 2 6.5s/2 6x9s running off a power 4 channel amp in my 02 Accord and thought the speaker sizes would be different but after seeing this video it seems just as simple installing into my other 06 Accord. Just gotta get a new wiring kit and I should be good.
Well glad you said that because I will continuing this by installing an amp and wiring kit to obtain better speaker performance.
Funny how we're both upgrading our speakers. The rears are so simple .. I'm having issues with the front though. The initial adapters I ordered didn't work.
same i ended up just using self tapping screws with the new brackets lmao

year later i just bought dual twelves and a amp for 130 off a guy i know. about to get them thrown in here in the next few days im pumped besides i have one of the new cars so hopefully nothing gets fu###### up

I have an 03 Honda Accord, I replaced my the front two and rear speakers at the same time. Everything went smooth and it was sounding really good. Or so I thought, I never really sat in the back of my car so Im just noticing that I only have bass coming from the back.
Is that supposed to happen or did I do something wrong ?? I do have an after market stereo installed. Even then when I go into setting I only get option for front left and front right…
Depends on the type of rear speakers you got. 2-way and 3-way speakers have a tweeter in them. The stock rear 6x9 speakers are just the speaker with no tweeters. You may need to make some audio adjustments with your stereo unit.
guys im in a pickle rn. i have a 05 acoord sedan and was replacing my door speakers when the green clip that holds the door cable snaped. dose anyone know how can fix that green clip instead of replacing the entire cable?
Zip ties. Drill a hole into the plastic next to where it holds into place where it broke and put zip tie around the cable and another zip tie through that one and secure it back into place and tighten zip ties to hold it

No that is how the lights on the gauge cluster come stock on a 2007

you think these will work with a 08 accord?
They should without any issues. But go to @crutchfield and just check the measurements and they will show you your exact car and what speakers are compatible with it.
I think the ‘08 and newer accords have 6.5 inch speakers on the rear deck, not 6x9. Also, I forget if this applies to the ‘08-‘12 accords, but I know on the ‘13-‘17 model you had to remove the back seat to remove the rear deck, it’s a long process.

You should actually never use three-way speakers. They must skip beats. If you read on crutchfield. It's almost pointless to ever get three-way speakers. That's also why two-way or more expensive
