726 Road Locomotive Eaton Ohio

About 10 years ago we told a about the local contraption resembling a steam locomotive while driving down the road in our car. The contraption was coming towards driving down our road not long after purchasing our house. Our first experience was closer to dark and we were talking to each other asking,"is that a locomotive going down our road????" Well today they fired it up and took it down our road again and hearing the steam whistle growing closer I decided to get out the camera in case they took it down our road. They did and hear is the wild machine.

@@ArcherMorningside Tractors can't just go joyriding down the street. Many places the right to farm laws only allow them on the roads when performing farm-related tasks such as working a field or going to be serviced. Taking a machine like this to a show probably wouldn't count.
This machine could become street legal in any case, the DMV often has an 'experimental vehicle' category as long as it has suitable lights and brakes on it.

@@dartmaster501 if it's more that 25 years old it does not need to meet any current regulations though, it only needs to be in the original specs. Early XX century cars don't have blinkers either and are still road legal. Most likely there is some exemption for replikas as well.

Greaser Gavin Newsome wants to prohibit the sale of internal combustion vehicles after 2035. We know electricity in California can be dodgy with brown-outs, black-outs, and power being shut down in high wind conditions to prevent forest fires.
So, maybe road locomotives might be.a solution. 😛😛😛
Imagine being trapped in traffic jams on.freeways in California with thousands of these smoke belching contraptions. People would yearn for the old days of internal combustion engines.

Same sort of problems in London. The Times of London 1850's 'If something is not done about traffic in the city, by 1953 it will 12 feet deep in horse S*it'! Now we have some -elected official- wanting to ban all internal combustions and promote legalised Cannabis. So history proves .All that changes is the type of S*it.

This appears to be a Avery traction engine. Avery was one of many companies that built traction engines for farm and lumber work. Most traction engines had a one cylinder engine mounted on top or the boiler. Avery had the engine underneath the boiler. Some owners added a locomotive style cab. ..Jerry

You don't need brakes. You just need to be bigger than what's ever in front of you.

Don't need brakes. Throw the engine's reverse against the motion, it will act as a compressor against the boiler pressure and stop you fast enough to send everything aboard flying.

It shouldn't be that hard to make one of these yourself because my husband is building a miniature one from a golf cart but later on in the future my husband is going to build one of these himself and build more to sell so if anyone wants one your gonna have to pay my husband first to build one for you and its not cheap but efficient to run and drive
