It was easy to disassemble everything. TOok me 5 min. However I didnt think i was gonna be able to put everthing back together, but THANK YOU SO MUCH for detailed video. I did it. It was my very first screen replacement. AWESOMEEE, please make more videos
Hey! Thank you so much for this guide, it really helped me fix my phone after i broke it!!!! i really thought id have to buy a new one or send it into a repair person, but this guide really helped me!!!
It actually worked. Thank you so much. I was hoping the process would be simple and awesome. I was nervous taking the phone apart and more nervous putting it back together.
Thanks for the video. I did exactly as shown in the video but my screen is not turning on. I could hear some sounds when i press power buttong but its not coming up. Any tips?
Buying the screen and frame is more expensive and more complex. Once you remove the battery, you can remove the tape under it and just disconnect the screen and replace it.
This is horrible. Half way through the video you reveal that there are 2 options, with frame and without. MOST people who are doing this at home will choose WITHOUT frame and just the LCD as that is cheapest option. You made me take off all the buttons, antannaes, cameras, everything when all i needed to do was REMOVE THE LCD SECTION. Now I have to full assemble the phone again just for the LCD replacement....
Thanks for your feedback, and sorry about the issue you have faced. But first, please, if you are repairing, you have to view a video once to see the steps, tools, and parts involved. Otherwise, you will have issues. We also prefer the frame replacement due to easier of doing and durability. Most of the time, customers experience screen pop-up issues after some weeks, and this is due to the lousy adhesive or glue. But with the frame replacement, it is already tested and lasts much longer. Once again, sorry, and we are hoping to bring no frame video on this model too.
I think its important to remember if something isn't coming apart like the mainboard or those small ribbon cables apply heat first to loosen any adhesive.
My screen seperated from the frame, phone still workinng. Can I fix it with small dots of super glue as I assume the screen is glued on the screen frame? Thx!
I mean, you could make this a great vid if you can add a little stuff and reload it. The 17 screws you called out left me breaking my bezel. I first thought you miscounted and meant 18 and forced the bezel and cracked it. The speaker card has 2 screws that look like all the others -- we don't have a schematic -- and the 19th similar screw is covered by an anti-tampering sticker. Just tell viewers theres 19 screws. The other thing is there's obviously a lot of 2 side tape that would help a lot of ppl to know. I don't know what kind it is, or size, but you do, so just put the link in the info so we can buy the tape we we need to secure the replacement like the original. i ended up with a cracked bezel trying to force it off after pulling out 18 screws, and insides of the phone less secure than the original. I mean there's a lot of good in this video too, but I would have been better off buying a new phone after ending up with a janky looking rattler.
If you didn't order a replacement that includes a frame, DON'T FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS!!! He has you disassemble far more than you need, increasing your chances of breaking something else in the process (which is exactly what happened to me).
All original parts are coming with the frame, also now most OEM parts are coming with the frame. Main reason is due to quality screen glue. Most no frame screens are popping up after sometime due to bad glue/adhesive and also not cleaning the frame properly. Both ways have advantages and disadvantages, but the best way is to replace with the frame
Only the screen maybe easy, but If you do not have proper adhesives or glue, you might end up with issues. And also need proper cleaning on the frame. It is always the choice. Personally I think with the frame is good.
@@DIYGeardoYou are right he is thinking of when they refurbish screens they due it with modern stuff as well but only a shop will have the skill to due that and not all shops due.

Yeah, you are correct, but with the frame is better in durability and fairly easy to move other stuff.
You have to calibrate the finger print sensor?
Everything worked after the swap except the flash… I don’t see when that was removed or changed. Any tips?

its like they try to make it as hard as possible and then someone makes a video like this and it becomes easy.
Thanks 🙏

This wasn't a help I don't need to think of the digitizer I need the screen lens only fixed
it is going to be tough job and need proper tools. Might end up with more damages to the device. Most new screens are coming together
