I always found it mildly confusing when english speakers referred to “Das Dritte Reich” as “The Third Reich”, why translate only 2 of the 3 words? It’s meaning is “The Third Empire” and as far as I have learned it referred to the previous big mainland Europe empires: The Roman Empire and The Holy Roman Empire. (The latter of which had nothing to do with Rome or Romans and if I remember correctly was mostly germanic) Also another fun thing about not translating things, english speakers saying “The Führer”, which basically just means “leader”. They still have some führers, but these days it’s mostly chill guys like a “Bergführer” (Mountain Leader) which is a mountain guide. Also had a chuckle while typing this when I translated “Panzerfaust” for no reason at all and thought to myself that “Tank Fist” would be a hilarious title for a Porn where girthy lesbians punch each other in certain parts of their anatomy. But that might’ve only been funny to me because I’ve watched too many Jim Jefferies specials on repeat…
Jim, there's a great biography on Teddy Roosevelt, and he actually encountered and killed 2 grizzly bears. Not a softy when it came to bears 😂 I interpreted that after the loss of first wife, he went into the Badlands to hunt, and seemed to have a serious death wish. Oh man the Hungary show was bonkers! All the posters were gone and I asked a dude on the tram - who was on a date - if he could give it to me. For good points in the eyes of the girl he gave it to me but man he had a vicious look towards me
I recently watched on a site the death counts during WWII by year, moving and changing over the years. I knew Russia had the most losses with over 24 million but China came in 2nd with huge losses too of about 20 million. China actually had the top losses for quite some time, until Russia's count eventually surpassed it. Germany came in 3rd with almost 9 million and Poland 4th with about 5.6 million. The Dutch East Indies had a surprisingly high number and India had about 2.5 million. Japan had about 3 million. Then you add up all the other countries involved, it is a shockingly high number.
The Japanese bits were directed by Akira Kurosawa, the director often ripped off by Hollywood including: Star Wars(1977), Magnificent 7, A Fist Full of Dollars, Last Man Standing, Django and many more around the world.
The Mighty Mo is moored in Pearl Harbor and you can go walk around on it. The USS Arizona Memorial is there as well, you have to take a ferry out into the harbor to get to it. The memorial spans the sunken ship and oil is still leaking out of it.

Most of the more severe illnesses happen to people by surprise, unexpectantly, impacting first in the brain, then in the corresponding organ which that part of the brain controls. The end of WWI had absolutely everything to do with the Flu and lung TB outbreak that occurred killing millions. In nature, the biological conflict linked with a territorial fear (just what it means-a fear in your territory, your home, your community, etc.) is a widening of the bronchia (tissue loss). Your body attempts to widen your bronchia in order to allow more air into your lungs to give you more strength and energy to fight to keep your territory safe. Stay with me.......The biological conflict linked with a death fright impacts the lungs. The lungs attempt to grow larger in order to allow more air in because breath equals life, as we all know. No breath equals death. While you are in the fear or death fright conflict, you notice no symptoms of “disease”, except you have cold hands, cold feet, you can’t sleep, you awaken at 3 AM every night, you have little appetite. During the war, millions of people were in fear of the bombing of their homes and cities where the war was most active. Fearing for their lives, their loved ones in the war, their ability to survive. The food in the stores was sparse due to shortages. This lasted for 4 long years! The longer the conflict, the worse the healing phase. Within 2 weeks of the German Chancellor announcing the end of WWI, these millions of people ALL went into the healing phase all at the same time. It is during the healing phase that you experience symptoms of illness! What is the healing phase of the bronchia widening? Severe bronchitis, pneumonia. The body attempts to refill this lost tissue and you experience inflammation, fever, coughing, body aches, fatigue, etc. What is the healing phase of the extra lung tissue that grew? Decomposing of the tissue by TB bacteria and fungi. The symptoms of this healing phase are: severe coughing up of blood and tissue, fever, inflammation, severe mucous, body aches, fatigue. During this decomposing of the extra tissue (tumor), the body expels a lot of protein, and without replenishment, severe protein loss can result in death. Antibiotics did not exist yet. If TB bacteria does not exist in a person or they have been vaccinated against TB (big mistake), then the tumor will simply encapsulate and become dormant and not harm you. Who died during the Spanish Flu? Mainly the poor who could not afford to buy meat and proper nourishment, and the people who were directly impacted by the bombings and destruction of their homes. Millions of people suffered fear and death frights during the fighting of WWI, and millions of people all went into healing at the end of it. Not everyone was affected because not everyone suffered the same way. It’s not a “flu”, it’s not something you “catch”. It’s biological, meaningful, and unavoidable. One hundred years later, a Fear Campaign begins, using the media to spread it......
I don't think the battle of Okinawa was the last battle in the war, it was the last American battle in the the war. It took place in June 1945. The Russians didn't invade Manchuria until August 1945. There were about 2 million troops involved and a number of battles, so the last battle of the war would have been fought between Russians and Japanese in Manchuria or Korea, with the fighting lasting up until the end of the war on 2nd of September 1945.

I watched a documentary about Normandy and they said what happened on Saving Private Ryan with the bullets was true because the Germans were using guns with less firepower than what was used to test the theory on Myth Busters.
Not a softy when it came to bears 😂
I interpreted that after the loss of first wife, he went into the Badlands to hunt, and seemed to have a serious death wish.
But yeah, he was a prolific animal killer/hunter.
Great book, would recommend it!!
He lost his mother and his first wife within hours of another in the same house.
See you next Tuesday, Jimmy

The Battleship Missouri is here in Honolulu, at Pearl Harbor. You can go on tours of it.
Oh man the Hungary show was bonkers!
All the posters were gone and I asked a dude on the tram - who was on a date - if he could give it to me.
For good points in the eyes of the girl he gave it to me but man he had a vicious look towards me
GIVE THEM WHAT THEY WANT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Future Topic Idea: Japanese-American Internment
I recently watched on a site the death counts during WWII by year, moving and changing over the years. I knew Russia had the most losses with over 24 million but China came in 2nd with huge losses too of about 20 million. China actually had the top losses for quite some time, until Russia's count eventually surpassed it. Germany came in 3rd with almost 9 million and Poland 4th with about 5.6 million. The Dutch East Indies had a surprisingly high number and India had about 2.5 million. Japan had about 3 million. Then you add up all the other countries involved, it is a shockingly high number.
tora! tora! tora! is the best pearl harbor movie. definitely worth a watch.
You get a lot of experts that aren’t experts

The Missouri is now preserved as a museum at Pearl Harbor, and she stands watch over the USS Arizona memorial.
Never clicked on a link so quick..my fav topic with my fav stand up comedian !
For an 'expert' this guy does not seem to know his subject very well.
@@AgendaInMind This your way of saying you should have been the expert on the show? 🤣
This should be exciting
Shout out to Burt Chrysler
So no shows in Canberra.....bad memories? Or just avoiding Declan ?
I don't think the battle of Okinawa was the last battle in the war, it was the last American battle in the the war. It took place in June 1945. The Russians didn't invade Manchuria until August 1945. There were about 2 million troops involved and a number of battles, so the last battle of the war would have been fought between Russians and Japanese in Manchuria or Korea, with the fighting lasting up until the end of the war on 2nd of September 1945.

RADELAIDE, my home town!!!! Home of quite a few A grade Comedians. (Adam Hills, Justin Hamilton)
I watched a documentary about Normandy and they said what happened on Saving Private Ryan with the bullets was true because the Germans were using guns with less firepower than what was used to test the theory on Myth Busters. And because the rounds were fired slower, they didn't shatter on impact with the water and were able to penetrate further into the water.
Really interesting. Cheers
I thought the first reich was Rome, the second was Charlemagne...
Holy Roman Empire is very different to the Rome
