This was one of the more cringe Abraham moments. Abraham saved the day by making something out of it but the guy who wanted to be up there just for attention seemed to enjoy that he was the focal point, even though he knew he was wasting everyone’s time in being up there. This is why I don’t attend these things in person. It attracts a lot of personality disorders because it’s the one belief system that validates self absorption and doesn’t label it right or wrong. Maybe it’s not right or wrong, but it’s still rude. Take a seat. Read the room. She even gently kept telling him to go away and the guy just stayed there absorbing the attention, even though it was negative attention. Classic NPD trait.
This was frustrating to listen to for me precisely for the reasons you stated.
