At least you can hold that precious baby for a while and let it to feel abit comfort...they are used to get a cuddle and warmth to feel safe and secure😐😐
Haruka Kurono - see if you have a local zoo, vet climic or vet hospital and find out what sort of training you would need to have in order to be able to volunteer. I am sure many such places can use the help. Maybe they would even provide some training? It becomes a win win situation for all that way.
I know this is an older video but... Why do zoo's always seem to yank the baby away from the mother? I know most of the ones that have been human reared don't know squat about raising a baby when they get old enough to have one because they weren't allowed to stay with their Mom and learn from her... At this baby's age they are in constant contact with Mom, only when they get close to a year old do they start venturing short distances away from Mom. Leave them with their Moms, let them learn how to be an orangutan for a change. You might be surprised and learn that they are highly intelligent and very loving towards their young!
@@lilyshi9576 I understand that. Sometimes things happen that they have to be hand raised. I watched another video where they were raising it by hand and several people in the comments said that they zoo always took the babies away from their Mom every time, that's why I asked.
@@SGCook50It used to be that almost all gorilla babies were hand reared until an infant development study indicated that the worst gorilla mother is better at raising gorillas than humans. 😊
awww, what a cute baby orangutan. those guys could use some more practice at changing diapers, they got it up under her arms lol. bet the baby would like a stuffed animal to cuddle up to :)
Because in a zoo they have limited space the animals become frustrated easily and the females become jealous of the new baby. In these times such conflict can escalate and put the newborn in danger. So the zookeepers always take the baby to protect it so it gets a bit stronger and also the mother. Meanwhile the others become used to the baby and so on. Remember newborns are very vulnerable and small injuries can kill them. Some mothers even reject their babies. The zoo keepers just make sure that the mother is taking good enough care of the baby and that it's not too late already when they find out there is a problem. These tiny fragile babies die very easily if the mother is too young and nog interested or if she herself has milk issues or health issues. The zoo number one priority is to ensure the survival of these threatened species.
That baby needs CONSTANT PHYSICAL CONTACT with a caretaker at that age!!!!! It looked to be a female, so I will bet all the moneh in the world that when she has a baby of her own she will "reject" it because she won't know how to care for it properly because she was not cared for properly as an infant!!!!! It's a vicious cycle and it's sad... if these people aren't educated enough to care for a baby orangutan properly then they should NOT breed them and take the infant away from tbe mother only to not properly care for them...
Amanda Newman - I do not know where that was as I am unfamiliar with the language posted but it looked like either a zoo or a vet hospital - especially with where the 'formula' was, and how it was precisely measured out and will even take a fairly good guess it is not the only animal they are caring for at the same time. This baby is young enough it most likely nurses several times a day, or probably during an hour, and sleeps, and urinates and defecates, and gets changed, and fed, and burped, and the cycle starts all over again. If a zoo or a vet hospital I am sure when time permits the animal probably gets a dose of 'touch'. I am fascinated with how people on UA-cam are so wise even without all the facts.
No cream or powder?! Her little body shouldn't be in a diaper anyway but my gosh the rash and infection she could get. Then they put her back in her plastic box! Notches the lid was on the side?! The lid! 🐵💋
I know this was years ago but I do still see it but....why do these idiots feel they have to keep turning the bottle in the infants mouth. Of course they'll seem done nursing when the bottle keeps moving.
I guess these people really don’t care much about their health, they don’t seem to be concerned about catching contagious and potentially fatal diseases. These things carry all sorts of nasty diseases, why aren’t you wearing gown and gloves when handling these things?
I hope this group doesn't exist any more, anybody can see that the last thing they know is to give care for those babies. It's so sad to see a pig handling a baby. Please, don't send them donations and hurry up to the rescue of those little babies before they get killed by those "care givers" Where are the human societies for the animal protections? Has been long ago but please tell me that somebody stop already the torture to those babies
Dirty fingernails! Where are the gloves and mask? Agree with other comments. They beat the poor thing when burping. Hope she had better treatment later!
your caretaker looks to have zero experience with babies....never mind primate babies. I hope he never has his own. He needs to learn caring and loving in ways too hard too explain sometimes. oh well. this has been 4 yrs ago so hopefully she pulled through OK.
Simply because bipeds are useless vermin that destroy EVERYTHING on this planet, that's why they should not be destroyed themselves. The world will be a better place without them.

nice!! good job vets. You take care baby orangutan same take care baby human. So gentle
To think this baby is 10 yrs old now!
Awe you were so careful with her, how sweet! Thank you very much for sharing your videos..
奶爸奶媽辛苦了!
Что вы его трясете.он маленький
The care they are receiving is adequate. They're not being swung into things or left on the ground.

They know what they are doing. They don't want it to be overly attached to humans
@@elliesouza717 they need to have some sort of fear of humans. After all, that’s who kill the mothers and steal the babies.
wish you good heath and happiness in Singapore 😘
Wonderful work being done .
If I can just volunteer to hold, feed, and play with primates' babies,,,,i would be so happy!

You should be keeping this baby on you 24 hours a day like kit's mother would. If you're going to do something at least try and do it right.
Why don’t you help since you know so much

Why not leave it with its mom? If the mom is dead then let the baby fend for its self
Josue Guzman wow you are dense. Yes a zoo is going to let an endangered baby starve to death in view of tourists 🙄🤦🏼♀️
emily-sioux hey sink it swim if it’s too stupid to survive on it’s own then let it die
what Carol said
What about some English too.....
Linda Cole english is not a universal language 🙄🙄 this zoo is in Tapei, they probably don’t speak English

How about teaching irresponsible people to use a fuckin' condom? If you can't properly support a child, don't have one!
