Kirby's plot is actually pretty solid at the mainline games. There are lots of lore pieces in things such as pause menus, and when you put them together, it is simply incredible. You should check it out, there are lots of videos on the matter!
Yeah, you'd think it's a story about a pink puffball going on an adventure, it's actually about a reincarnation of a godlike being defeating other godlike entities and then going to sleep.
@@loogi_is_die you're right, it is not a deep plot. It is not pretentious nor the main focus of the games. And despite that they still make the effort of slowly showing that mysterious lore through their games for those who are interested. And that makes it pretty solid and charming imo.
I actually really liked this game! It's so underrated! I vastly prefer it to Kirby Star Allies actually. Rainbow Curse is pretty, has unique gameplay, has excellent music, and is overall a very charming experience!
@@bolitboy1grand833 I thought the bosses were pretty fun! The remixed fights still switched things up a bit too! There was, like 7 bosses or so, including the final fight. Also, like, Canvas Curse had only one boss... Yeah, I don't feel like there is much to criticize about this game's bosses.
I feel like Kirby Mass Attack is by far the best example of a Kirby game using the touch screen. That game pushed the DS to its limit to the point it's one of the most unique games I played with great sprite visuals, polished smooth gameplay despite the gimmick and a ton of variation in the levels. Oh, and there's a crap ton of side games you can unlock too.
I think the lack of copy abilities is justified since in CC they just kind of got rid of mobility options with the exceptions of Missile and Wheel. Sure, Burning and Needle provide alternatives but sometimes you just want the roll.
3:43 I infact play kirby games for the plot and lore, is actually really good lore for a franchise made for kids. Really dark and grim details in kirby games are really enjoyable to put together
FINALLY, SOMEONE TALKS ABOUT MY FAVORITE KIRBY GAME :D i've always had a soft spot for Rainbow Curse, partly because of the claymation artstyle, and partly because it was the first kirby game i played. it's definitely not the best kirby game made, but it still has a place in my heart :}
I disagree with many aspects mentioned in the video. Yes, the lack of abilities is disappointing, but on the other hand, the game features several different Levels, each with its own Gimmick and idea. Not only are the levels that use rockets, tanks and submarines very creative, but also the levels without transformations as well, as we have several chests hidden in a variety of ways, unique mechanics like the Gondola, creative enemies like the Dethskulk (which instakills you if you touch it), as well as several cool world themes like the Ghost Airship and the Junk Factory from the last world. The soundtrack is also phenomenal and one of the best in the Kirby franchise. The game is short, but doing 100% in it is quite a job, as you need to collect all the gold medals, treasures and diaries, defeat all the bosses without taking damage and finish all 48 challenges in the game. Challenge number 48 is certainly hell to complete, I say from experience that it is not easy at all. Dark Crafter is a obvious reference to Dark Matter, a recurring enemy in the series. Fun fact, Kirby games always have an extensive lore behind them, which is exposed through texts in the pause menus and through small details in the surrounding world, although Rainbow Curse really is simpler in this regard compared to the main games of the franchise. Anyway, for me it's certainly one of the most underrated games in the series and it deserves a chance.
Kirby lore is crazy cool and dark, but the actual playable stories always go from something like “That bad guy DeDeDe took your cake again, time to go kick his ass,” and ends as “time to fight the god of death, a floating and bleeding eye, and literal dark matter”
He says this game has no plot... The grab hands turn out to be a type of dark matter which is the manifestation of negative energy and appears in various forms across the series.
I was drawn into this game when it first released for its unique art style. And while the gameplay is… bad, I find the visuals and soundtrack are great!
The gameplay is actually very good, it uses the touchscreen in various creative ways. You will definitely have a good challenge and fun while trying to do everything in the game as the challenge mode does have hard challenges and it tests your ability with the gameplay mechanics of the game.
I remember playing this as a kid, my favorite world was the blue sky palace, it just looks so unique, and it had one of my favorite abilities, and the banger soundtrack to it. One of my favorite sky worlds in a game.
3:21 Are you sure about!? But seriously, Kirby usually start of with a problem and then the plot unfolds as you play, especially with it’s messed up deep and dark lore scattered throughout the series.
I really liked this game, played it with my siblings, but i was so new to console gaming that i held the Wii remote upright for well over half the game. 10/10.
I watch an ad for this game when I was young and It was my first exposure to Kirby and due to the fact its claymation I thought Kirby was a donut. Not a joke...
I remember buying this game at the mall when i was like 7 trying to look for a game i didn’t know the name of (it was Kirby return to dreamland). Even though it has low content me and my brothers’ brains couldn’t comprehend how to use play because it was challenging. I still love the art style though definitely my favorite part.
This is my absolute favorite Kirby spinoff (the art style is a big reason), and it pains me that it probably can't/won't get rereleased on future consoles.
Ok I was like, "what do you mean of course I remember this game!!?" But I also just learned now that its rainbow curse, not rainbow CRUISE so maybe I didn't know it as well as I thought.
Kirby fighters 2 was actually Kirby fighters 3, on the 3ds there's triple deluxe ver. (Original) and there's a version on it's own called Kirby fighters deluxe. I have every 3ds Kirby game
Honestly…. This type of gameplay would work for a sonic spinoff. Make it fast paced and it would be even more fun I feel like. Like Kirby literally spins like sonic and has that similar pointy blue effect… I feel like I’m being taunted
Fight me if you want but superstar feels messy and cluttered. Like, I'd rather one good game not 5 meh ones with nothing connecting them but menu Also kirby games have a lot of plot. Not the spinoffs tho Like, one game is commentary on capitalism and another on dictatorship governments
I remember forcing my friend to be first player because I wanted to be bandanna dee, the fastest I made it in this game was the world 6 boss, I gave up I was 6 and it was too hard.
Overall this game is just okay compared to some other Kirby games I've played though My favorite Wii U game though is Yoshi's Woolly World, that game both had an amazing style and was really fun! 😄 And if you try to go for 100% get ready to rage alongside whatever poor person you convinced to do 100% Yoshi with you. It's fun ^^
People probably already told you but Kirby has a surprisingly high amount of lore but it's mostly on pause screens so most players don't notice or don't care
Master hand and crazy hand was in GBA game Kirby and the amazing mirror and you get the smash alibty. Smash ability was too in triple deluxe but not master and crazy hand.
Honestly, I never played rainbow curse, but I would like to see your opinion on other Kirby games, mostly the arenas and lore pieces. Kirby is at its best when it is challenging, cute and fun; hell even when it isn’t challenging they make sure the level Desing is fun (expect for star alies, that has a more “open” and generic level desing).
Hello Danerade. I've been seeing your videos and they are great. Could you maybe make a review of the latest beta of Plants vs Zombies 3 or Nintendo Switch Sports to full? It'll be funny from you talking sarcastically about either of these games, and it'll be understandable.

I remember playing this game with my brother. I always forced him to be Kirby so I could be bandana dee lol. One of my favorites.
SAME!
Pretty much every Kirby fan on this planet plays the games for their plot.
I think the “7 worlds” thing is because of Seventopia, which used all the colors of Dreamland to make a rainbow.
I booted up my wii u to listen to the music.
It was good music!
Honestly my favorite thing about this game is the music. Other than that, It's a neat little game, not too special but not bad either.
