Nice!! What body are you going to run?
To get better drive shaft clearance you can rotate your axle then clock your portals to get your axle clearance back. I think I heard somewhere the shocks have seals for oil filling. You can build a decent comp rig with this chassis but seems to be designed for flexibility of build style. It is a versatile chassis.
Great info! We think the chassis is really meant, like you said, to be flexible for builders to update/adjust to their liking.

@@TheShopMiniRC what appeals to me is I still enjoy putting plastic model kits together. This kit basically gives you a great option to find a hard body, do little modifications to and mount it to this system. And as you pointed out, you get a lot of value, it doesn't require a lot of kit "bashing" to put together something decent and have a ton of fun with. I hope they offer different size links as this would make your "scale" rig fit and look a lot better. Again, appreciate your content and review.

Can’t wait until the Cedar motor is for sale. I’m hoping they make a chassis available with that motor but honestly I think I would rather get just the bare chassis and buy a Hot Racing overdrive transmission instead paired to a Cedar motor. So many options!!!

Tonsof great info in this vid. Thanks for all the help. Recently bought this rig and as much as I love it out of the box, it's begging for some work to be done. Looking to make it more of a comp rig and immedately took ofthe springs for that droop, but finding the shocks tend to bindquite a bit even in th stock locations causing the suspension to not work as it should. I'm currently experimenting with the differrent locations to try nd work it out. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated

How did you mount the socks to the rear and front lower links?? Longer screw??
Thats how the FCX24 and Cayman are. and yes, either you use a double ball joint or a much longer screw.
Why does the Barebones kit doesn't come with drive shafts? It says motor and transmission not included, so I assume the drive shafts comes with it. If it says it wasn't included i would've ordered the almost ready to run version. Also, the chameleon motor doesn't look like it would fit. I'm very upset with furitek again.
No idea on the bare bones kit. Maybe it was an oversight. I’d reach out to furitek directly.
@@TheShopMiniRC They gonna send me a driveshaft set. Then they updated their page to say driveshafts not included.
The kit sucks anyways, poor flex, the rear tray interferes with bumper/hinge mounts. How do i convert it to the FMS Max Smasher? They use the same axles right? But the max smasher has open diff. Could i put the diff in my cayman?
@@toycoma98 yes, you can put the open diff for the max smasher into the Caymen.

@@TheShopMiniRC I wanted do LGRP comp kit but there sold out. So I’m looking into building a SCX24 long wheel base to fit LGRP X-Factor Body that I order with LGRP super 8 axles. Also can I LGRP ski plates be used on any Aftermarket KiT besides LGRP
@@FOURFTP I am not 100% on the LGRP skid on the X factor as I have never built one. I know the ripper has a specific skid.

Are the shocks scx24 or fcx24? Will scx24 shocks fit?
the hardware for the shocks is M2 sized screws. So you COULD use SCX24, but you would have to drill out the ball joint to fit M2.
