I am in love with the Onyx, my ghost has been de oiled twice now. I have my Motiv 4 balls now need 2 more, have the max thrill solid , sub zero and it’s the same cover as the onyx I was told. Have the nuclear. And the P.rage I need to get the V.shock (OG) mine cracked. Then the Supra and and maybe the max pearl . Well that’s more than 6. lol I still have all the others but selling the non drilled ones at the alley for 100.00 B-7 ones. Going to Motiv Charles. May your family have a wonderful Christmas
When Motiv recently switched from the 4-column to the 5-column ball chart they announced/shared on Facebook that both the Venom Shock and Jackal Ghost are never going away/are here to stay as they are seeking to create one ball in each row of the ball chart that is, and they actually used the term, Motiv GOAT. Essentially it seems like the Venom Shock and Jackal Ghost are the “benchmark”/middle row in each of their perspective rows/sub brand lineups and you then know oooooo too much oil for the Ghost, let me throw the Onyx - too little oil or want to throw a Pearl, let me go to the Crimson or whatever hybrid or new Jackal comes in the future. Just wanted to share since I’m sure you’d find it interesting! This came right around the release of the Primal Shock Evolution, and they asked, “Maybe it becomes another one of our never-leaving GOAT balls too but our goal is to have a GOAT in each row of the chart.” Pretty cool stuff!
I threw it yesterday I did throw it during practice and we bowling a five-man team in I never change balls and I'm shooting like 835 with it I was hooking the whole Lane I was playing deep inside I was playing everywhere both going to be a really good ball I'm impressed
Ghost is still there as of 7 p.m. 12/22/24. But yeah, Motiv has got a lot of solid asyms right now and it wouldn't surprise me if the Ghost made a graceful exit at some point.
I definitely want one, but I'm not sure if I want to drill it pin up or pin down. I have a #16 Legacy (the core numbers are a little different from the #15), Ghost and Crimson. I'm also a lefty.
Depends on how much flair you want to see. I would probably go with up depending on your rev rate and speed. If your faster speed 17-19mphs I would go pin up. Slower speed I would go pin down.
It's weird... maybe due to the straighter angle and/or your release, but the Sub Zero looks like it rolls more forward through the deck - something people typically attribute to asymmetrics.
So here is a big ? I have for you, or anyone else who wants too. I have a 13.5-14 speed and mid 300 rotation. I have the following balls in my bag. Which order would you use on a house shot? Hammer 3.0- Primal Rage evo- RG Hyped Pearl-Storm ICE ocean blue.
On house you may still struggle. If you shiny it up a little it will be useable, but you out of box may be a little strong for most house shots. Tournaments different story.
Love this video format always great when a ball strikes like that
Agreed. I was thinking the same thing. Nice work.
It honestly looks symmetrical the way you're throwing it. Definitely works for you!

Cannot wait to add this to my existing jackal arsenal.

Also the ghost and ambush are off the Motiv site. You can go from the Onyx to the Crimson Jackal
Perfect combo

Ghost isn't going away any time! Longest running Asym in the planet!
Jus ordered one
Great video, What camera you use?
That ball is cashews in a can. Im talking straight NUTTY! 🫨You made that ball look impeccable🫡

Wow impressive
Ball looks sweet. How do you think this would compare with a Track Criterion. I’ve heard that ball doesn’t quit on the end either.
How would you compare this with the Mesmerize?
It's weird... maybe due to the straighter angle and/or your release, but the Sub Zero looks like it rolls more forward through the deck - something people typically attribute to asymmetrics.
The subzero is definitely more forward.
Yeah they getting EJ ready to win big. What if they drop a black venom with this coverstock 😐
How about a primal with this cover. My dream.

Hey Charles, how come you chose to do a voice over commentary for this video? Did your mic die mid review?
Yeah lost power didn’t realize it until afterwards.
Onyx and harsh reality solid both good to have?
Yep. The harsh reality is still earlier than the Onyx
They are very similar
I know this is off topic. I can’t find a video comparing the venom shock to the phase 2. Please help.
When the pink shammy coming back?????
Depends on the number of requests 100% next year October time. But if enough interest is there We may bring it back sooner.
@@TheHype-Bowling Charles I’m in on the pink shammy. I got to get more shirts also
Is the Onyx similar to the Ambush?
Not at all. Onyx is was cleaner and more responsive than the ambush
Do you think this would be too much ball for a 2H righty 450 revs 12-15 mph? Or could I still keep it on the lane?
Definitely too much, with 450rpms you'd probably need the monitors to show you at around 16.5+ for a ball like this

Kinda reminds of me a UFO
