This was the place to be when I was a kid. My mom would take us here every Friday. We would have pizza or stromboli at Brother's Pizza across from the movie theatre. After we were done eating, she would give us each $5 to spend at the arcade, which was right next to the pizza place. We would also get a few bucks to each buy a small toy from K&B Toy Store.
My childhood mall is barley hanging on. Two of the three anchor stores are gone. Like you I have fond memories of meeting up with friends and hanging out for the day.
My childhood mall as well. From when I was a toddler, til now. I pretty much saw it fall apart. I'm 21 now, and I haven't been in the mall for a few years now.
As of June, Black Rose Antique Mall is closing..the last store in the mall…the final nail in the coffin of the Chambersburg Mall..Goodbye another memory of my youth. I live nearby and drive by frequently…it is an eyesore and needs badly to be repurposed into something benefiting the community!
Yeah I think they should close the mall down permanently. I agree with you that there is no point in keeping the Chambersburg Mall open. All the ceilings are leaking I think the pipes in the ceiling are cracking Chambersburg Mall is a extreme rundown place.
i was there last weekend. “ames shopping carts” or salvation army store. i was in there for two mins. (they were closing their doors for the day) yet before i left. they ask if it was raining outside. the roof as they told me was leaking. i nvr got to ask them. when was the last time the roof was looked at and repaired? (if needed) sad to say this mall needs to be shut down. the roof will cave in. there is a store near black rose. you can hear crickets and frogs. if someone only cared about it. it could be saved.
I remember going there all the time when I was younger.

Me too! I spent many hours here when I was a kid and teenager in the 80s. I heard the entire place is now closed. Black Rose was the last to go.

It was announced today that Chambersburg Mall has officially been closed. RIP (1982-2023)
The mall of my youth and memories from the 1980’s and 90’s. My mom worked at the Bon-Ton and later Fashion Bug during that time.
That’s about 10 minutes from my Grandma. I think I went there once about 18 years ago, went to the Gap I think
I was only ever there once, but I'm sorry it's gone. My wife grew up nearby and this was her go to spot.
I worked in this mall ugh this is so sad 😢😢😢
That was the library book sale
So very sad. I remember being so excited to get to go to the mall with my grandma. To see this now is just sad.😢
The books on tables were donations being organized for a fundraiser sale benefitting a nonprofit legal services group.
The Joy's of shopping and getting those little pretzel bites you dip in cheese are forever gone.. 😔
That American flag at the beginning should be hung upside down. It means "Defeat is imminent. Rescue needed."
Okay Taliban Karl
Man haven't been in the mall in probably 15 years I used to go to the eye doctor there
Only live 5 mins away from here its a shame what has happened to this place
It's difficult to keep a mall alive when most of the traditional anchor stores are out of business or going out of business.
Wwwaaaa this is sad
it baffles me how that mall stays open cause there is nothing open inside of it
I used to to the pizza place, and the movies there with my father and sister. Me and my dad liked the FYE store.

Where they had the flag was where they had Santa and the Easter bunny
