Thank you for that. I gave a few tugs on the rear cover with the latch off and it woudnt move. Now thanks to you, I know I just need a little more upward force. Thanks Again. Now Ill go back and subscribe to your chanell
This is the second video of yours I have watched. It would be great for you to add links or a description of the parts you use for us who are watching.
Hi, new owner of a great '07 SL 550. What brand are the low profile air filters you changed to? and by changing to low profile, do they require any engine adjustments for additional air flow or fuel consumption? Thanks
Thank you for the video. I have 2007 SL550 and I'm wanting to increase hp for low cost lol (air filter, exhaust, super chip any suggestions and any other ideas. very nice car by the way. I was thinking of trying to get amg parts which product do you like best for proformance thank you again... hope all is well
I m glad you enjoyed the video. As far as high performance parts, the aftermarket doesn’t offer very much. The air filter is a good place to start, then of course I would suggest making sure all systems are running as designed, like spark plugs, fuel injector cleaner and premium fuel, clean engine oil, Good tires that grip will help also. You can free up a little with the exhaust. I have removed my resonators, the sound is quiet still and a little more when the go pedal is needed! Thanks for watching and enjoy driving!!! MooseMade
Have you ever had to fix a faulty rain sensor on your R230. I know I can undo connector on windscreen but that takes out faster wiper speed, which I do not want to do. Any help appreciated.
Thanks for thinking about it for me.👍 We must have more rain here than you do😊 Seeing your ABS clip convinced me to have the ABS fluids and filters done and given it is a 2007 R230 model with 45,000 miles, the fluid was dark brown. Think we have better longevity with fresh fluids and filters. Boy fluid was expensive stuff...ouch.
Well, that really depends on where one is. In a more dusty area the filter will become clogged faster, so I would say check them at every oil change. Basically, if you can see light through them, they are fine.
@@moosemadevideo9330 those filters require specific oil applied. The only element that traps dust - oil. If you want to have a healthy engine, keep stock filter. K&n is not for regular guys. Just Google around to find to this simple advice - use stock factory designed filter.
Didn't know about these shorter depth air filters. Thank you!
I still have my SL55 2003 and still makes me smile 😊
I bet it does! I wanted a SL55 when I was shopping for mine, but one wasn’t available, Enjoy, and thanks for watching!

I’m glad I was able to help! Great cars, what model do you have?

Thank you for the feedback, I agree, though as a beginner UA-camr I haven’t figured how to do that yet.

You forget to tell everyone about how the kn oil residue will alter the performance of the maf sensor.

Thinking his video on resonator removal would increase power (as well as noise) as back pressure is reduced
Thank you. How do we find the slimmer air filter ?
I did a web search, I believe I found those on Amazon.

I’m sorry, I have not changed one of those out before.

Yes, I agree the fluids do cost a bit. But I do enjoy being able to raise and lower the car at will. Have a great day and enjoy your ride!!!
Also means ABS keep working longer (hopefully)
What a mistake! Rethink your filter. Don't use those k&n.
Thanks for watching, I’m always interested to learn more, tell me why do you think it’s a mistake?
@@moosemadevideo9330 They have been tested and are some of the worst air flow. Purolator is a good one
How many times a year do you recommend this to be done...thanks in advance
