An interesting comparison. Your presentation is relaxed and your focus, on everyday use, is exactly what most people need to know.
For reviewers in particular there is a fine line between not enough and too much detail. My feeling is that in this review you were on the not enough side. No mention of the sound quality, 5G, and the USB C to 3.5mm adapter included with the Poco.
Generally I valued the review and the relaxed presentation. Thank you.
Still rocking the poco f1, best phone I've ever had and still works like a charm. But since it's getting a little outdated, Im just browsing around the web looking for my next flagship killer. :D
dude i loved my F1, just yesterday lost it at party and cant find it. Looking now desperetly for new phone but F3 doesnt sems this revolutionary in terms of price/quality. Did you find something interesting ?

@@KingGeneral21 Heard a lot of mixed info about xiaomi phones right now. Like they are shooting so much models in this moment that they cant keep up with thier software balance/updates and a lot of things are in like bete version state (many errors). Bought F3 just from pure sentiment over this line (if i didnt lost f1 i woudlnt even consider to buy new smarphone). So i think that if you are good with pixel, stay with pixel- at least you know this one.

Sadly, Poco are not acknowledging the issue and they are saying it could be fixed by a software update.

When you put the phones next to each other, I don't know which one is the Redmi Note 10 Pro and which one is Poco F3
The one with square apps is the Xiaomi redmi note 10 pro, then the one with circle apps is the pocof3

Just bought the F3 to replace my Huawei P20. Very impressed. Everything runs silky smooth. No heating issues and the haptics are excellent. A lot of phone for under £350.
@Codeluxx It's better than the P20. The processor makes the it very quick to get snapping and the video stabilization works really well.
How is the photo and video quality are you satisfied with it or it is okayishh ?

@@shifanMmed the haptics are flagship level. Photo and vid quality are around Huawei P30 level. Stabilisation on video is very good.
I'm about to do the same as my My 2018 P20 is constantly rebooting and being a pain in the ass. Would you recommend the F3 over the Redmi note 10 pro?

Gesture navigation only works with stock launcher.
i think you can change the navigation in settings or somthing, idk but i am pretty sure
@Ryan Cawsey Gestures do not work at all with 3rd party launchers. Really irritating TBH. It seems to only work (a bit) with the Poco Launcher. Been looking for a workaround since I got it a few weeks back now.

Hi Cam, the Poco F3 does support gestures, if you search "full screen gestures" in the settings, it should come up. There is also a "quick ball" shortcut sidebar you can slide open if you turn this feature on.

Thanks for this.....I needed a new phone and with out too much research went for redmi note 10 Pro as my budget was £300.... Well I didn't really know what a great I bought lol....I don't play games so the better chip wasnt important but as musician the head phone jack and extra storage wins for me....I'm blown away at this thing for the price..... It's a no brainier!!! Both phones must be good they seem to be the best phones value for the money with a top of the range feel and specs never been so happy about a phone!

Hi, I already have poco f3 couple of days and the navigation by gestures is there. You just have to keep looking. Go to settings, other settings, full-screen display and then you will see it. Also, I want to apologise for my English I come from Czech republic.

How is the camera
In this price group, this mobile is average. But the camera isn't the reason why should you buy this phone. The main reason is obviously the performance.

The lack of a microSD slot on the F3 is a deal breaker for me. No way I can be without that.

Me too. Let's face it, sdcard slot will be a thing in the past. Right now, I get used to using otg flash drive which I can store my backups.

Yep I'm not gamer so extra battery extra storage and that headphone jack most of all won it for me...but both the best bang for buck phones you can get...depends on what you do...

I've been using F1 for nearly 3 years with the Poco gestures. I ordered the F3 on amazon, sold and shipped by Amazon. I was supposed to get it on June 3rd but on June 3rd they sent me mail saying delivery will be delayed indefinitely. I got an excellent deal and I don't wanna cancel the order. That gesture thing in the review nearly gave me a reason to cancel the order, thanks to your comment now i can look for other reasons. Lack F1's IR camera and a headphone jack are 2 strong contenders at this point. If the delivery is delayed for another week I'll cancel the order for sure.

The Redmi 10 Pro has that silver thingy around the camera so is easy to distinguish.
Did you face any dimming or overheating issues on poco and what about touch delay and green tint problems
The F3 screen always dims after about 30 mins of gaming.

@@mokeshram07 I had other issues so sold it and thought I'd try the Redmi Note 10 Pro, love it and no issues which is crazy when you think of the processor power difference and camera is better so happy and saved over £100
This has now been resolved in the latest software update. MIUI 12.0.5.
Dimming issues have been fixed, I play COD mobile on my POCO f3 for hours and no dimming issues present.
Confused about the review of the Primary camera, most other reviews state that the note 10 pro has the superior camera Vs the F3. But you have given it to the F3 . As the 108mp camera is the same camera in last year's Xiaomi flagships I inclined to believe that this is indeed superior not the F3 camera.
It may be that the better processor on the F3 is the the reason that it's images could be better.
Adam is right, the ISP on 870 push the image better than the 732g. the sensor on the camera is not the main focus when you're comparing "mid" phone. its the chipset.

the guy couldn't find gestures in the F3. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't manage to take photos with the full 108mp and left it on the standard 12 for both.

I'm quite big on camera. so I choose redmi note 10 pro. but I have a question, is the redmi phone good for light gaming? I mean, I play games like mlbb and cod. does it lag or is it fine? and is the camera bombshell??
I think for a 700+Snapdragon and a 8GB Ram will prove to be actually good at gaming
For light gaming is just fine. Is not that you can play pretty much everything you want. Is simply that you can't raise the frames and detail as high as in a stronger phone.

Yes the F3 is and amazing phone for the money but the better primary camera is on the Redmi Note 10 Pro, plenty reviews back that up, F3 camera is poor apart from daylight shots and they can be overblown.
Yep I dont know whether he mixed up the two photos. The Poco Photos are the Redmi Photos and vice-versa. Mistakes happen. Poco display doesnt get bright at times, The Redmi gets brighter despite having a lower peak brightness than the Poco.
The poco dims its display when outdoors, especially while using the cameras, or while playing games. Although Colors do appear better on the Poco. You get 5G and better Performance, But you have to say goodbyes to the 3.5mm jack and the stubby expandable storage.
Hi.I don't see a difference between Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro and Poco F3.Yes ,the Poco have a snapdragon 870,it is clearly better than a snapdragon 732G( Redmi).Poco is more faster,but no VERY fast. Redmi catches up with just a few hundredths of a second.I personally i like more the Redmi than the Poco.
(P.S Redmi have a plus with the 108 megapixel camera)
i have the poco f3, based on my experience by trying my friend's redmi note 10 pro for a day. the camera on f3 is better in overall day use than note 10 pro. you're right tho, in daily use both of them can handle that with subtle differences. but if you're going with full performance like gaming, better SoC is always the answer.

You're wrong. Poco is MUCH faster. The 870 outclasses the 732g in every way which is noticeably immediately, the note 10 pro stutters often
The note 10 pro is such a good phone for the price. Yes it isn't a flagship experience but lemme tell you that if you are the person who doesn't buy a phone every year and you have an old phone, don't think twice, this is gonna feel like a flagship compared to any old phone (like the s7 edge, which I had). I have had the s7 edge since it came out and now it is just slow and dies in a few hours and it cost me around 760 usd!! Well that was so long ago that no mid range phone was worth it tbh. But now these 250 usd phones are just crazy...

Funny enough I'm still using my s7 edge and looking at the 10 pro as a replacement. Would you say it's still a good option? I'm really split between the F3 and 10 pro. F3 deals are cheaper just now and seems a bit more futureproof with 5g support but the no micro SD support and smaller battery puts me off a bit. Tough choice!

Both phones support type-C headphones, no issues there. The redmi's 3.5mm jack is Hi-Fi certified, and I can vouch for that. But the Poco has dolby sound via bluetooth and speakers.

I'd have gone for poko f3 if gaming was most important...but as musician that extra storage n head phone jack that can possibly be used for a mic as well...but agree tough call...both awesome for the £
In India, where 5g bands are not yet decided yet, saving a few bucks is always better.
And a functional earphone jack for a slightly less efficient still good processor

Biggest reason why I chose the F3. I have got 5g coverage where I live and it's expanding. Not getting a 5G phone for a device I hope to use for 3 years will be a mistake.
I just bought the 6gb/128 F3. I didn't bother with the 8gb version, because I don't think RAM makes much difference on a phone. What's more 6gb is actually a lot of RAM - the same as an Iphone 12 Pro Max. Plus, I don't keep phones long. I will sell it and buy the F4 next year
RAM is important because your not exactly using that 6G more like 3G or less, that's why always go for 8G atleast.
Ram is probably the most important thing on a Xiaomi android phone. Apple optimize their devices well, the 8gb will last longer in the long run.

I am impressed with the day time photos the note 10 pro can make but indoors it already tanks compared to an iPhone 12 - logically a big price different too.
dude poco f3 has so bad tinting/uniformity on almost every unit, no english reviewer notes that on their review, whilst all the chinese, indian, indonesian etc notice, please test the devices more before you review

as it stands, xiaomi's biggest enemy is their own OS (MIUI).. it's still subpar compared to other leading phone companies
Nope...not even close. As a guy who constatly has clients phones on his hands and has had enough time to use and review most I'll take MIUI over most OS's any day. Tried countless OS's and custom ROMs over the last 4 years and every time I went back to MIUI. It's an allround amazing OS. Full of standard feature that stock roms simply don't have. Amazing UI , which lets be honest is a combination os iOS and stock Android...but that's just actually a pro more than a con.Stock Android is just horendous and has been for years now, while One UI though it has come a long way since it's TouchWiz days, it's still miles behind MIUI. Color OS is nice, but I just look at it as a MIUI clone. RealMe OS is just MIUI but a few iterations back, so it's a no go. EMUI/Harmony OS is out of reach of most people nowadays. My guess is that you didn't actually spend enough time with the OS to actually get to know it, I might be wrong tough. For me and most people I know MIUI is one of the best if not the best Android OS as of today. Oh and it has some of the most beautiful themes which are absolutely free (here's looking at you Samsung and Huawei).
I've used (not just 'tested' nor 'handled' but actually USED it from day-to-day) different phones from different manufacturers such as LG (passable but not good), Huawei (actually pretty good), Samsung (too much bloatware but good UI), Redmi (same MIUI), Xiaomi (still MIUI), and Poco (MIUI issue) and I must say the best bang-for-back out of them all are phones from Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco. However this is only true on paper. If you actually use MIUI as your daily carry you'll notice tons of glitches (such as the issue with M3 switching refresh rates) as well as optimization issues (such as the dimming issue for F3) in MIUI. But I do understand your sentiment, your experience may be different from mine

sold the Redmi note 10 pro after a week. Didn't like to the screen, too saturated, color not accurate, too contrasty. Also wouldn't play Amazon Prime in HD despite L1 cert. Not much of an improvement over my Redmi Note 8 pro which i am still using.

If only the poco f3 has the liquid cooling like its former predecessor poco f1, it will be good considering the heating and dimming issue due to heat even with just using it for social media
