Liked your setup. Was an interesting game. Just think you made a mistake in solo robbing red in that first round.
I think so too, targeting blue could have given Drew the wood and the plow to the 9 10
Tough game. Once Blue had gone to 13 points, your path to victory meant vps and settlements. Definitely think you should have pulled for vps instead of getting the city down just because not many vps had been pulled at that point
3:50 i would have taken the same setup as orange, but point my road right to the 8 sheep. With hopes of getting the sheep port before blue (but that would be unlikely)
Ideally i was looking at the 5 10 8 WWS + 2910 OWW. Greedy placements sure, but i doubt anyone would take any of the costal spots there. This would give me 2 usefull 2:1 ports with each 2 high numbers.
But the thing is if Drew took the 5 10 8, then the 692 would probably be taken...
I dont know, the more i think about it oranges set up requires a TON of brick... and there barely is any
Hello, I'm the red player :)
The reason why i did build a city over 2 devs is orange is crushing me in production with his 2 cities and his wood port allowing him to get way more ore than i do. Considering he already has 1 more knight and 1 unknown dev, i considered it was really unlikely i could get back army right and keep it without a city (and even if i did, it would require all my ressources and i wouldn't be able to go over 8-9 points). Maybe it wasn't the right call but i went for the risky plan as i considered it was my only path to victory.
This may have been one of the most difficult board to place 2nd ever… i would have picked 6/3/11 going to 4/3/11 or 9/10/11 to 9/4 but very difficult to predict people’s choices

(That's a great idea to change the name for every game, the steals are real. It'd be funny if you could change it back to the one you're known for mid game just before you click for the win, just be like, "Gotcha!")
Not every game. I’ve batched out about 8-10 games per name and works really well. I’m super excited to bring these new games to everyone.

I'm at 2:14 into the video, I would put on 9 10 11 and point down to 9 wheat, 4 ore, and pick up sheep some other way on the way back.
It’s an interesting thought that maybe blocking blue was the right play in the beginning because it would buy time, if red was able to win the race against him
Red was super lucky with the beginning 3 rolls which let them plow blue and you at the beginning.
Every time your good spots got rolled they were blocked by the robber, unfortunate!

At 8:00, if you tried trading ore for sheep, you could have ploughed 3 4, improved your settlement spots
orange with the op never blocked 2 ore strat
Red with 6 cards could have found a way to get to the sheep port! Just by trading for other resourses to 4:1 for the wood
At 7:10 is there a world where you consider building a road to the 6 11 12 instead of the 8 10 settle?

You couldnt build enough roads to steal road right? Blue was at 13 at the end, and max you could get is 13.

There is a world where that is a possibility. Only thing is 8 10 offers me the port flexibility which is great since I am going to be flooded with a lot of wood and little brick.

I would have taken 10-8-3 point right and try for sheep port
8 4 is a serious target for red. At this level, it’s better I don’t play too many risky lines and focus on getting a playable position which is what I got.
I'm sorry what is blue doing, not even trying to win. Try to get a city, then worry about a road. lol

that last rob from blue made absolutely no sense whatsoever. he secured road. you are at 8, don't have a VP and only 1 settle spot left. it was literally impossible for you to win at this point without a VP draw, while both orange and red had winning rolls. really gets me mad when people throw the game like this

Hi Zara, I understand your feelings about it. For me, it’s a experiment right now. I don’t have the answers and I’m trying my best to navigate growing as a player and content creator.
The whole point of this run is to show the audience how to take an account from virtually nothing to #1. It’s hard for me to hold the integrity of that concept if I am getting recognized in every game (especially if I can’t get out of placements without reputation distorting the balance of the game). I’ve had MANY players tell me they play differently when they are against me - That is unfair to the audience who are trying to learn from my games and relate.
At the end of the day, this move has allowed me to focus on playing the game and better quality commentary. Let’s try it and see what happens. - DD
