Aşık Daimi (d. 1932 - ö. 17 Nisan 1983) 1932 yılında İstanbul'da doğdu aslen Erzincan'ın Tercan ilçesindendir Ali Babaoğullarından Baba daimi I. Dünya Savaşı sıralarında İstanbul'a göç etmiştir. Asıl adı İsmail Aydın’ dır. Her iki dedesinin de saz şairi olmasının etkisiyle küçük yaşta bağlama çalmayı ve aşıklık geleneğini öğrenmiştir. Ancak ilk ustası Aşık Davut Sulari’dir. Yaklaşık 10 yaşında Davut Sulari’nin yanında çıraklığa başlayan Daimi, 2,5 yıl kadar birlikte dolaşarak geleneğe, şiire ve türküye ilişkin bilgisini pekiştirmiştir. Aşık Daimi, 1950 yılında İstanbul’dan ayrılarak Tercan’a yerleşmiştir.

Agreed, hopefully with the popularity of shows like Ertugrul and Yunus Emre that showcase Sufiism and its luminaries like Ibn Al Arabi we can cast out ignorance and superstition. I believe some of the imagery she uses are from the Mosques in Isfahan Iran. Check out the Architectural geometry of the Mosques in Isfahan. A Harvard mathematician traveled there and recognized it as crystalline fractal geometry, something that was thought could only be made by computer recently. Now think about the fact that when these structures were built computers and power tools did not exist. These things are downloads from psychedelic hyperspace or something. Truly remarkable what the human mind and hand are capable of.
