Wow man, thank you so much for this video if it wasn’t for Aviciis The Nights music video I don’t know where I would be at in life right now, I just wish we can all go back to travelling again
Well I guess I saved myself some money, i had a fun time enjoying myself watching you guys, thanks for bringing me along your journey through your camera🙏🏾❤️😂
+Francisco Cornelio Thank you! Yeah the beach is called Navagio beach and is located on the island of Zakynthos. It was the most beautiful sight I've ever seen. We planned pretty much everything out beforehand because we knew what we wanted to see and where we wanted to go. That allowed us to find cheaper places to stay and also save a lot of time. We also kind of had an idea of how much money we would have to spend and could save up according to that
Man this video is awesome! I really like it, I'm originally from El Salvador but I live in Canada, I'm planning my trip to Europe soon hopefully. This video inspired me Thanks a lot!!
Awesome video. Planning a trip through Europe end of the summer. Only just starting to plan it now and your video has got me stoked!! Any advice on how you guys planned everything out?
The intro and outro instrumental is so good, can you tell what version is this or where can I find this? From 4:38 I try search "The Nights Instrumental", but its different from yours
+Tonya Kuby Yes, that shot as well as the footage of the hiking and paragliding was taken around the small town of Gimmelwald, Switzerland. It's absolutely beautiful there
It honestly depends on your preference as both are beautiful and have plenty of things to see and do. I only went to Santorini and had limited time there so I can't speak too much about the Greek isles in the Aegean. We did spend some time on Zakynthos which was definitely a highlight because of Navagio beach and the blue caves, but it is less accessible. Dubrovnik was one of our favourite places we went to. The water is great and you can kayak and cliff jump if you're into that sort of thing. If you're a game of thrones fan there are plenty of tours that are really interesting. I highly recommend it.
sick video. planning a trip like this for the summer, from Toronto. I was wondering how how did you get around country to country meaning predominantly trains or planes also if you could share cost of transportation and trip in total
+Dim V Thank you! We had Eurail passes so we mainly travelled by train. We also used ferries to get to Croatia and Greece since we recieved discounts on certain ferries with our rail passes. I don't know the exact cost of the trip but I would say between 5 - 6000 Canadian. We were however very cost conscious the whole trip and saved money wherever we could, sometimes even skipping meals or sleeping in train stations. However, I did splurge on the Champions league semi-final football match and the Paragliding which were both very pricey
It was around 170 Francs which equates to about $240 CAD, though I remember paying less due to the exchange at the time. We were on a tight budget so that was pricey for us, but looking back it was totally worth it
The footage at 3:05 what location was that?? Doing a backpacking trip next month visiting Greece, France, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands; this video made me even more hyped!
+Richard Salinas 3:05 till 3:45 is all from a Greek island called Zakynthos. Glad that this video is getting you pumped up! Let me know if you have any more questions and goodluck on your travels
ahhh I just came back from two months in europe and your video is giving me serious feels haha ! i am also canadian, but was wondering when you were in switzerland where were you hiking with those serious killer mountain views?? i recognized the beer you were drinking haha!
Hey friend, great video. Me and some buddies are now going to visit Lauterbrunnen and Gimmelwald this summer because of your video. Any advice on how to get to the locations at 3:48 and 5:00?? Is there a particular trail that led you guys up there? Thanks in advance!
+Conner Huff Thanks, and we're glad to hear that the video is encouraging other people to travel! That hike that we did from the video was called "Tanzboden". Some also call it the shark fin. We also did a few other hikes in the area and they were all great. You can pick up one of these hiking maps when you get there www.gimmelwald.com/pics/gimmelwald/hikemap.jpg
Sweet video bud! Makes me excited to go back to Europe! I backpacked in 2013 and I'm leaving again June 22nd. Starting everything in Iceland. Did you go to Ibiza, Spain by any chance?
+hondarider519 Thank you! No we didn't go to Ibiza but I would have loved to go to the Balearic islands. I have many friends who have been to Mallorca and they all say it's beautiful. I heard Ibiza is super expensive but it's the place to go if you want to party
Hey Kevin, awesome video.. u have inserting the music from Avicii into your travelog video, but how the youtube approved your video? because i'm also trying to upload my video using this music on youtube, but failed.. it show that i'm having a copyright problem.. if u don't mind, can u tell me how can i solve this problem? i'm Afif, from Malaysia..
+afif tatsuya Thank you. You are allowed to you use the song but it can't be played on certain platforms such as mobile. But they allow it to be played on computer youtube if you give the label and artist credit and allow them to monetize your video. If you do it correctly you should not have a problem with copyright issues
Wow Dude, you smashed Europe hard! Sorry for the redundant question but what was the order of the countries that you travelled? Currently messing around with an itinerary, thanks for the inspiration!
+Adriano Ro Thanks, and no problem. Some other people have been asking about an itinerary as well so I tossed up a link in the description. Hope it helps
you have some awesome footage and edits! did you just start your channel recently? i love it! we just started a travel vlog, arent they so much fun to make and create?! i cant wait to see more videos :D
hey man this video is amazing! i am from america and i am planning to travel to Europe this summer. I was planning to go for 35 days and visit about 8 countries including Greece and also Ibiza in Spain with a budget of 6,000 including flight you think that will be enough? around how much did each of y'all took if you don't mind answering it? just curious
How was getting from Spain to Switzerland.. by train? I want to try and incorporate Spain into my trip (starting in London then France, then Spain, but it’s a little bit out of the way.
Hi Megan, we took an overnight train from Paris to Barcelona and then took trains along the French Riviera into Italy, and then eventually into Switzerland through Italy (See the link to our trip route map in the description). You can either take a train from Lyon to Geneva or do the same as us and go south of the French Alps along the coastline and up through Italy. There are also low cost flight options through budget airlines like Ryan air
Hey kevin, amazing video. im planning a solo traveler and im looking for information to guide me. did you arranged travel dates and time in advance? reservations required? how about hostel? im budgeting 5000 for 6 weeks. is that reasonable? i will like to stay in "nice" hostel and eat a little fancy. keep traveling. xoxo
Thank you Gibe, if you haven't read my description yet I have some information in there. We planned our route out beforehand and booked most of our hostel reservations and stuff in advance because we knew where we wanted to go and only had a limited amount of time. I'd recommend doing research and planning stuff out if it's your first time backpacking in order to save time and money. But with that being said, if you're travelling solo you will most likely meet people and want to travel with them so make sure to keep that in mind. In terms of money it's totally relative to your travel style. You can definitely travel Europe for 6 weeks on 5 grand but it will be tight if you want to stay at "nice" expensive hostels and eat out a lot. It totally depends on where you want to go and what you to do.
thank you for answering my questions. Looking at your itinerary helps a lot. Since im traveling the busiest months of the year (july-aug) im still concern about budget, but lets see how it goes. thanks again
Question! I'm planning a trip to Europe for a month in Feb 2019 with a few friends and wanted to know how you got from place to place or what Eurail pass you purchased?
Hi Guys ! i would like to know where is the place beetween 3:20 to 4:00.I think it s in greece but where in greece ? . thank you for your aswer ! Ps: It's a great video !!
+Kevin Roesler so beautiful!! I'm planning a trip myself for next summer 2017 and watching propels UA-cam backpacking vids for ideas!! Any places you would recommend?!?
+Jerom Lim We found cheap flights and we also travelled at a time when the Euro currency was relatively weak due to the economic crisis in Greece (April-June 2015). We were also pretty price conscious the whole trip. I would say that I spent around $5500 but keep in mind that I splurged a bit by going to the Championsleague semi-final and also went paragliding in Switzerland which combined for almost $500 right there. Looking back, definitely don't regret spending the money though
+Maria Emilia Rodas All of our time in Switzerland was spent in the Lauterbrunnen Valley just south of Interlaken. We stayed at the Mountain Hostel in Gimmelwald and I would highly recommend staying there. It's pretty affordable (for Switzerland standards) and the views from the hostel are stunning. So may great hikes around there too
I have 8500 saved up for a 6 week trip backpacking europe I have a rough itinerary and in know I am skipping Greece but would you mind sending me your guys itinerary?

The Greece Part with the hidden beach is something else! amazing vid! how much was the budget for this trip and how was the planning process?
+Francisco Cornelio Thank you! Yeah the beach is called Navagio beach and is located on the island of Zakynthos. It was the most beautiful sight I've ever seen.
We planned pretty much everything out beforehand because we knew what we wanted to see and where we wanted to go. That allowed us to find cheaper places to stay and also save a lot of time. We also kind of had an idea of how much money we would have to spend and could save up according to that
