Thank you for the review. After watching the video I think I’m going to wait until I can actually see the book. Due to the issues of the postcards being just a miniaturized versions of the book illustrations and the difficulty in coloring them , I really expected some modifications to the illustrations so that the very small areas would not be even smaller in this new book. I regret that the lesson from the postcards was missed. Enjoy your coloring as always.

Although I love ALL of Johanna's books and have all of them ... I will not be purchasing this "mini" version. I think the regular size book is already small and tiny areas to color so I know I would NEVER color in this one. thanks for sharing and I loved how your page turned out!!!

But very thin paper 😉
I love how your picture came out. I just recently bought lost ocean. I was intimated by the small detail before. I have been enjoying coloring it using a small magnifying glass for some parts. It looks like a magnifying glass might come in handy for this one also.

By the way, love you butterfly 'Ink' on the back of your hand, have you had the first side of colour inking done. Looking 4ward to see the whole Butterfly in full colour. So just designing a Ink 4 my wrist of our Daisy Mays paw(s) in a Daisychain. She passed away 24.01.19. I also, received Colouring Heaven Fantasy Cats today as well, amazing. I've Secret Garden spanish version and the paper is bad quality you cannot use any kind of markers, for that reason I've bought US and UK books of Enchanted Forest and How to draw inky wonderlands and the paper is really good. Thank you for this review, I am going to buy ir for sure.

If smallified isnt a word it should be. This looks like a fantastic book for used with fineliners, or pencils that sharpen to a really good point, like Lyra, Black Widow, goldfaber.

I love this tiny book. My mental health has been really bad lately and I haven’t coloured in like 6 months. But this little book looks far less intimidating than the full sized version. I hope Johanna releases a mini Enchanted Forest because that’s my favourite book that she’s done.

Colour with Claire that’s exactly what I thought! It is also small enough that I could put it in my bag for when I go to the doctors, which I find stressful. I really hope she makes a whole mini series, but I dunno how Lost Ocean would work - it’s already so finely detailed it would be hard to miniaturise it. I would love a mini Ivy though.

Hmm...love how your page turned out...for myself, I have the larger version and haven’t been able to really color in it...I like Johanna’s artwork, it’s just too tiny for me even in the regular sized coloring book, so will skip this....it’s a cute size though...if only she could draw a little bigger!

I really hope johanna comes out with a brand new book. It's been so long since she has announced a book in the works. Hopefully World of Flowers was not the last. Not including inky wonderlands, that is.

So sorry you didn’t tell what colors you were using. I need that assistance, and hope you will provide a list of colors at the beginning or show in the video as you go along. It’s easier to find the colors and be ready than to be hunting for it as we color.
I always list colours if I’m doing a colour along… This is a review with a sped up colouring demonstration x

I answered my own question by looking on Amazon. And yes, Enchanted Forest is being released in a miniature version in February. I don't have that book so I've pre-ordered it.

I don’t know why, but I just don’t like small books. Maybe is because I’m so extra that small just doesn’t house all my extra colors 😂
This is such a disappointment! I knew a new book was coming out and was enthusiastic but then learned it was a miniature version of Secret Garden. What a waste of time, I doubt anything new will be coming from Basford. Did you ever get "Johanna's Basford's (Rudyard Kipling's) Jungle Book?" It amounts to her doing the cover and they charger 10 bucks for that. Ever get the feeling you're been taking? PS : You can also get Minature Enchanted Forest and in Canada they cost $14.99. You can buy the regular size of several of her books at bookoutlet from $7.85 to $9.85.
Johanna is working on a brand new full-sized book, due for release next year
