Whilst I’m not particular a fan of the original artist but there are undoubtably some very well written songs by TS along with the production team in support. This though, is an absolutely lovely version with some fantastic instrumentation. When the strings come in on the back section, it is just gorgeous. Well done to all involved.
I'm totally in love with Beth's vocals. Indeed as Christian said, her scottish accent adds to the charm of her voice. All in all, such a great version of this song, well done !
I spend many hours noodling around UA-cam watching behind the scenes videos about the music industry, That's how I found your content to follow, and have done since the early Spitfire days. I didn't know who Taylor Swift was and never heard her music, but was very taken by how positive the backstage boys and girls always spoke about her. Very professional, getting what she needed for her craft, but always with kindness, understand, insight into the challenges the crews faced and with empathy. When I eventually heard her songs on spotify I was blown away and at 64 years old am a total fan of her, and her work. I completely agree with everything you said about her in the "How we made this song" video, and I would like to send both Taylor and all at Crow Hill my love and appreciation. I should add that I do love how you have crafted this love letter to an amazing human being and If you will, I would like to add my name to it. X
Like the sound of this, enjoyed the background story and 100% agree with the sentiment Christian - thank you Christain and crew. The more positive role models we have for women in music and beyond the better. My 14-year old daughter is a budding drummer, and we're always looking around for interesting women musicians. Happily there are loads!
I'm curious - did the orchestra play it by sight reading and record it in one go ? You mentioned the 15 minutes you bought in addition to that other project, so that's very impressive.
I hate that this feels like a marketing gimmick to me. I'm sorry. With the need to get that off my chest- appreciate all the work that you lot do. Proud to be a benefactor of it.
@TheCrowHillCo I take it back. Bah-humbug. I've finished my visit with the three ghosts and realize I was just being biased due to my taste and lack of appreciation for the original artist.
What true players can do in 15 minutes is just stunning.... have yourself a merry merry christmas all.
