    Finally somebody says that vic firth's do not isolate! I thought it was just me

      Mine isolate just perfectly, i love them. But the first ones i bought were bad, both in isolation and sound quality. They were the first vic firth made, the ones with the "telephonecable" (don't know the correct term). But the new model SIH2 are great. Are you using the new models? Or are you perhaps wearing glasses?
      However, I'm looking for IEM for playing live. But they need to have the same isolation as my Vic Firths.

    Totally agree on those new viv firths. I play a lot and after a couple of months they create a sort of vacuum in my left ear. First I thought I had a cold but I found that it happens every time I use those caps. It's kind of sucks cause they're not really cheap.

    i can agree. i have Alclair CMVK 5 driver IEMs and they sound amazing. I did pay like $700 but it was a great investment. however have in mind that it is recommended to reshell your IEMs every 4 yrs as your ears do change with time so they wont isolate as well as they did when you first bought them.

    Hi congrats for your reviews. Awesome job. I’m drummer and love to play my acoustic drums over the music that I have on my ears (iPhone +Deezer Hifi) no drums return on my headset. A very important point for me with the instruments representation. I want natural instruments full sounds. I listen rock punk metal hardcore... (I’m a ‘’TOOL’’ band fan if you know). Which IEM are your advice? I look at the TIN T4 / Tin T3/ Tin T2 Pro / CCA C12 / do you have any other advice for my use? Thanks in advance. Take care (from France)

      Hi, thanks! If you are looking to listen to music don’t buy IEM. Buy a good pair of Sennheiser headphones. Otherwise I’d recommend to go with at least a 6 driver CIEM from either Alclair or 64 Audio. Be well!

    Are there any IEM’s available which are not super expensive to replace my Apple standard wired earphones? I have already tested two models of KZ’s like ZS10Pro and apart of the better instrument separation and crisper mids the base is not there. People advise to change the cables but they are already super thick comparing to extremely thin apple cable which producing a really good sound experience and better from KZ’s I doubt that the cable will actually help a lot. I did not tried to replace the standard tips as this also could be the case but I’m very sceptical about any YT reviews as I’ve seen such a good drummers telling us that ZS10 Pro blown their minds that I hardly believe in any review over here now. I was playing drums a long time ago, and just getting back to my favourite instrument now so I’m on the market for a good, but not super expensive IEM’s so can you advise anything that have at least the same base that Apple has? KZ ZS10Pro would be a good pair of budget monitors if not this terrible bass. Many thanks for the video.😊

      no no, forget about them for only music. Get yourself good headset like the HT550 or Sennheiser headphones. Invest into good headphones will last you for at least 5 years.

    • @Jakodrums
      @Jakodrums  4 роки тому

      As far as I know the isolation is a bit the same. Have you tried changing the tips? They say that makes a huge difference to any

  • @arrowintheknee9956
    @arrowintheknee9956 6 місяців тому

    I kindly disagree about what you said about the Vic Firths.
    I played the very first Vic Firth (with the telephonestyle wire) which was bad in both isolation and soundquality. The new ones are way better, the blacks AND the carbonstyle models. I own 6 pairs carbonstyle models for teaching purposes. However, I had one carbonstyle model which didn't isolate well. I guess the padding was faulty. So maybe the one you bought was faulty as well. The other ones isolate and sound just fine.
    I use them myself for practicing and recording and love the sound of my drums when I'm wearing them.. I would use them live as well but I doesn't look right... and that's the reason I ended up here. BTW, thank you for the video 😉
    Edit: Now that I think about it, maybe my very first Vic Firth pads where faulty as well.
