in theory, he could've probably downsmashed after letting wolf over, fsmashing backwards by knowing he'd go there would have him get hit because fsmash doesn't duck but downsmash would've let him catch up to him after a bit of crouching
Leo's Byleth is so inspiring to watch. I feel like being a Byleth main as i am would be harder if there wasn't such a great source like Leo to glean from.
I definitely agree with you. I as well use Byleth as my main and how Leo uses it is insanely mind blowing. It inspires me to face Leo one day in SSBU match.
Totally agree. One “A-ha moment” I learned from him was to relax when falling off-stage. I used to just use the tether as quick as possible to try and get to stage. But seeing him I realized, “Oh, I can relax and actually be safer when just falling sometimes.”
@@Enidx10 He mentioned in his stream that he'd played almost every FE game before playing 3H and he started playing 3H not long after Byleth's release.

That second match was like a pro fighting a noob that just started the game and got lucky at some points. AnD is suppose to be 5th in Hawaii from what they said. Didn't feel like that in that second fight.
Reminds of a smash 4 major where Leo absolutely destroyed a guy who was like 6th on his PR. The look that guy gave to his friends in the crowd after game 1 was hilarious.
Hola, Hawaii dude here. There’s a lot of factors going into the match. Of course we know Leo’s #1 in the world, and he has a ton of top wolf exp. On the other hand Hawaii has no byleths, and playing one of Leo’s caliber is especially gonna be a trip. Leo actually played our #1 (smallleft) at the last genesis, and kinda wiped the floor with him too. There’s a huge skill difference between #1 in the world and being ranked in a small region.
Y'all gotta realize Leo and Tweek alone, make the majority of players outside of top 5 WORLDWIDE look like this lol. Huge skill gap between every 5-10 ranks even.
Leo using Byleth inspired me to use him. I did well with him trying out for eSports today rather than using my main Pyra/Mythra since so many people already wanted to play her. Thank you, Leo, and good luck from here on out!
Looked it up, and apparently down smash is a multihit move. When Steve first puts down the lava, when it's in "block" form, it deals multiple hits. This multihitbox combos into the strong hit when the lava begins to flow. I did not know this either.
I was gonna say let them fanboy but "the scoop on the up smash is immaculate from Leo" you mean the Byleth character function? That scoops no matter who's using him/her in that moment? Sheesh
Leo’s Byleth is clean, but I’m afraid it ain’t gonna cut it at the highest level. Why is he continuing to play byleth when he needs to find an answer to tweeks diddy??!
There might not be an answer. The only character I think could counter him would be Pichu or Pikachu. Complete stage control with Diddy is fucking nuts.
Can't speak for anyone else but I just don't like her design. I don't like most of the fire emblem character designs honestly and that might be because they just look really generic to me. Male Byleth though has something, but I can't quite put my finger on it. I'll risk poor wording and say I think it might be a dominant anti-hero vibe I get from him, and I don't get that same feeling with the female equivalent.
6:29 I would be so tilted here. Leo knew exactly what AnD was going to do, so he turned around, crouched, and let him jump over him. lmao

Yep, I've been waiting for the offline tournaments to start again to watch him. And I'm not disappointed
AnD plays like we still living in the wifi era.
He was playing Steve pretty well, everyone outside the very top look a bit lost vs leo
I love Leo’s Byleth
I wonder if people know or care that Leo used to be one of the best Wolf Players and knows all of his strengths and weaknesses
2:07 - did Leo just tech an untechable?!?! That impact effect looked red.
he got footstooled by accident, listen to the footstool sound and the tumble animation
watching MK play the Steve matchup is inspiring
Leo just plays Byleth to stablish dominance.
No, because he likes fire emblem and the Character. Frick Top tiers. My Mid and Lows and playstyle will always dominate them!
@@ppikach64 no. He likes FE BECAUSE of Byleth

he got footstooled immediately after
@@KevSB07 you can accidentally save your opponent that should've 100% died... By footstool... Nice.
2:11 Is down smash a multihit? How did Leo fall out of it?
He didn't fall out, the anvil hit Leo up into the stage and Leo managed to tech it
