    My mother's family grew up in Famagusta. If I show her this, it would break her heart. She keeps asking why I can't take her back because it was where she fell in love, as a young girl. Swimming out to boats with baskets of fresh oranges, drinking delicious Turkish coffee brought to her with side treats. I show her all your videos, she thinks you are wonderful, but maybe just not this one. She never married her first love, as they had to leave due to the conflict. ❤️

    Such a sad story, especially for those people who had to leave these places. Generally politics, but also religion are the main causes which provoke these unhappy situations, and ordinary citizens always lose!! Thank you very much for sharing this these insights about Cyprus.

      Hi Levina! Indeed is very sad, being there made me realize so many things, sometimes we don’t appreciate things, our beloved ones and life as we should, but then, all of a sudden everything and everyone is gone.

    Dear Berry, I was born in Famagusta. The United Nations asked Turkey to give back the city to its legal residents, but unfortunately for 49 years Turkey has refused. I hope one day to go to my house free.

      Dear Mario, I truly hope soon the city is given back to its people and to see the island united once again, 5 decades have been enough and all deserve to have a new start, both parts need to find a middle point to reach an agreement and put an end to that situation, the only ones suffering the consequences are the citizens and the thousands of displaced families, my blessings and love are with you and all Cypriots 🙏🕊️

    I went to EMU in Famagusta/Magosa for my engineering back in 90s. I had travelled and lived in quite a few countries by then but this place was a very different place by every means. There was so much history, culture, mystery and beauty in everything. Everything made you wonder how it was thousands of years ago to hundreds of years ago and then just a few decades ago. Everything had a story tell. I lived just a few steps from the closed off area and thought if there was ever a perfect place to show a ghost town or shoot a post apocalyptic movie, this was it. I have so many stories to tell... some really weird ones. I am happy that you went there as i always wanted you to and suggested it a couple of times as well. Good video👍

      I would love to hear some of your stories! You know, for so long I was interested in this specific place, I have watched so many documentaries about it and when I knew part of Varosha opened up to public about a year ago I couldn’t believe it, I had to make it there asap, it was a very different experience but made me realize so many things at the same time. How one day we can have everything, be with our beloved ones, etc, but then, just all of a sudden in the blink of an eye, everything is lost.

      @BeryIstanbulTips Also tells the value of what you have and how just like this area a heart without love can be so empty and in ruins just because we keep love away.... 😢 This area just like ones heart can be transformed back to it's glory if we live and let live, love and let be loved 💔😮‍💨

    Bery can I visit in north Cyprus just on Work permit of Turkey ? I don't need visa

    • @BeryIstanbulTips
      @BeryIstanbulTips  10 місяців тому

      Hi! No, you can’t.
      You need a valid passport and depending on your nationality, even a visa. Having a work permit or residence permit in 🇹🇷 is useless. Let’s remember that is a whole different entity, they have their own president, minister, and their own entry requirements, regardless of Turkish army presence.

    • @BeryIstanbulTips

      Working or living in 🇹🇷 has nothing to do with entry requirements to Cyprus.
      Just check if your nationality requires visa or not to visit N.Cyrpus, plus you need a valid passport. Imagine you are traveling ABROAD, a whole different country, not Turkey :)

    We must look every event deeply, with may dimensions but generally we hear one side Greek or Armenian propaganda from press, nobody wants to talk about Turks that have been massacred by Grreeks and Armenians in history, because the world press belongs to emperialist countries and they mostly reflect the events against Turks, we must question why Greek Cypriots did not become respectful to Turkish Cypriots right to life, for anexation to Greece and in order to fire Turkish Cypriots from Cypress Greek Cypriots made armed gangs and attacked to Turkish Cypriots , of course Turkish state as guarantor of Turkish Cypriots according to Zurich and London trreaty signed in 1959 did not accept Greek Cypriots cruelty against Cypriot Turks and Türkiye took some part of Cypress for the wellfare of Turkish Cypriots , nobody is talking about the cruelties of Greek Cypriots against Turkish Cypriots but they prefer to say what a pity for Greek Cypriots they lost half of Cypress, lets leave history besides, even today Greek Cypriots want to have whole island and to assimilate Turkish Cypriots , two sided solution is the best, Turkish Cypriots and Greek Cypriots cant live together as Turkish Cypriots can not rely on Greek Cypriots any more.
