Quite fascinating. I'll admit it's also pretty intimating 🤣. I haven't really taken any lessons but I wanted to start to get familiarized with some Vietnamese. So I looked up the words for I and You, which gave me "toi" and "ban". And I started watching some videos in Vietnamese with Viet subtitles to look out for them. But to my surprise neither words were that common or at least as common as I thought they would be. So now I can understand why.
What about pronouns when you're not talking directly to someone and talking about another person? Like He/She/They? Or when you're talking to a group of people?

Hello. You said "Ling". Is that the normal pronunciation of the "nh" in Linh? Is it the same in the south? Thank you

good lesson but it's not clear how you would use these outside of family. when i eat at a restaurant/foodstand could i use bac for anyone old enough to be my parent?

No dear, they're the same, but mostly Bố is used in the North while Cha is usually used in the South of Vietnam

@@dangphuonglinhlifecoach Not really. In fact, in the South, only the Southwest uses "Cha" or “Tía”. Ho Chi Minh city and the Southeast use "Ba".
