- Olando Brown was born into a life of hardship and has it road block after road block on his path. But his faith and determination has seen him going from sleeping on top of buildings and wiping windshields at stop lights, to flying to the USA on the farm work program. Having already been able to buy a piece of land, he has big dreams of one day being able to provide a home for his mother. This is Olando's story and trials to triumph and continuing to find Beauty In The Ashes.

What I like about this young man is what he said about why he opted not to run off in the US. He said he didn't know the laws of the country so it made no sense running of he also referred to some other notable reasons .
He was thinking even outside the "common sense box."
And I think he was genuinely appreciative of the assistance he got from the person's he mentioned .
So Yendz you can look for persons like those who are still struggling but trying their best to lift themselves out of those painful situations . Yes give us a nice mix from each end of the economic divide.
His last words had alot of meaning; God keeps you in this cycle of life for a reason.
You can't run too far from your purpose, great discussion there's alot to learn from this talk.
I've known Olando for some 11 years now and have supported him whenever i can. He is a genuinely nice person who is trying hard to make it in life. Whenever possible, try and support him, he frequents the stop lights at the intersection of Sovereign Centre in Liguanea.

In my humble opinion, the best Yendi interview hands down! Years ago, I made a trip to JA and I saw some young boys begging. My heart broke and I gave one a few dollars. Immediately, my Jamaican friends who were with me started yelling at me telling me not to give them anything because they are the same ones who steal. My heart ached for these boys. To see this young man is a testament to the old adage that says "what has not died, dont throw it away." Jamaica has thrown away these souls.
One of the best interviews on this program, love to see people who struggle throughout their lives but never giiving up. May God continue to bless him by opening more doors for him as he continues his journey through life.
