This happened *62 years ago, for the today's generation it would be difficult to imagine, or to visualize those times when the Melody Queen was still a princess, and Aslam was still a hero, not a villain of Zarqa, but times change & so does the world. In 1960 the global population was only 3 billion, today it has crossed 8 billion, the Earth has not expanded, neither our resources, the world is oblivious to what lies ahead; like mindless sheep we are following the one ahead of us, then it disappears, we still march forward....., folks if you are young I wish you a lot of luck, you will need it badly. I have crossed 75 & I do not know when the curtain will drop on my act, until then I have the luxury to travel in time & enjoy the world which existed generations ago.

More than a 100 Pakistani songs I have listened that are stolen by Indian directors for eg Mahesh bhatt or the other music directors my God!!!! No in fact the counting goes in 100s....
Pakistan film industry and music industry including Ghazal and classical singing have actually given us wonderful music, story, lyrics etc... always our industry has tried hard to walk along with time, but the lacking was appreciating them and helping them in terms of finance by our own people 🙄😔😔😔.. Completely underrated 😢😢😢

I'd think it more accurate to say that the music directors are influenced by all they hear and these sounds often find their way into their own compositions, either consciously or unconsciously. In all countries and cultures you can find songs lifted in part or all from other songs that came before. Thanks for commenting on this beautiful song.
@Mir Sherzaman Marri I have myself received several copyright claims on music in Indian films because the music director had lifted it directly from another source. There are quite a few songs in Indian films whose tune was lifted from an earlier song. Both examples go well beyond my earlier statement that music directors are influenced by all they hear, consciously or unconsciously.

For the songs with a "borrowed" tune, the copyright holder has the right to keep that song from being played. I might not like it but I have removed music from films when copyright claims have been filed. And I know nothing about the 1993 film you mentioned.
