It's memorial day 2023. Sir, You being a Marine, I thought I'd share this with you. My uncle is retired from the marine corps after 20+ yrs (gunnery Sargent) In 2022 he decided to go to the Ukrain to help train civilians for combat with the Russians. I think he felt strongly about innocent civilians, including women and children being slaughtered. My uncle spent almost 2 months in very dangerous and harsh circumstances doing this. He survived this and returned home to the state's. Although he never said it directly, he's a low key kina guy, I believe that he did what Marines are trained to do while there. Found you through your 968 video - and glad to find your “other interests” in HK. I’ve always wondered why many HK firearms and perpetually difficult to buy. The MP5 is an example. It’s odd to see all these clones making tons of revenue off of HK designs. I’ve always wanted a real MP5 from HK but none were available and if they were the pricing was a gouging mark-up. When people ask HK about this they cite priorities for military and law enforcement- and German export laws. But with so many clones making bank on HK designs clearly there’s revenue being lost and customers being ignored. Any clue if HK will care about the consumer side of the business now that they have invested more in US facilities?
H&K offers the SP5 and SP5K PDW. Both are the commercial version of the MP5 and MP5K. They import plenty and they can be had for MSRP if you are deliberate with your searching. Lack of availability is just the result of supply and demand, as it is with trying to find a new 911 at a dealership. Military and law enforcement programs will always be the priority, but I’m glad they still support the commercial programs as much as they do and we should see expanded opportunities as the US facility matures.
I went to Tier One and they did not offer the holster (Spara) you show with the Surefire hellcat. I also called them. They only show the TLR-7 and 7A. Which light did you choose?
The light is the new Surefire XSC. I took its measurements and then checked it against the sizes of the TLR models, found the one that was bigger than the XSC and the. Ordered that holster.
I have a question please? I own an H&K SP5 and also own a PTR9 as a truck gun. My question is what would make the PTR9 a more reliable gun? I changed the ejector lever for. Germany gen3 and am thinking about changing the extractor and spring. I’d love to change the barrel for a B&T OEM barrel but haven’t found anyone that can do that yet. In your opinion am I spending money just trying to know that the gun won’t fail me when I need it? I hate to take the H&K so that’s why the PTR. Can you please help me?
Please don't put anymore money into it in an effort to make it more reliable. It will never be a SP5. Sell it and put that money towards training or another SP5 series weapon to replace it.
@@georgeazar6879 I have no experience with their most recent offerings, so I cannot comment on those, but the earlier models from MKE, which are now offered through Century Arms are generally good, though some quality control challenges exist.
Not sure what states classify as non-crazy, but this course is in Florida and on my website, you will see I have upcoming courses in Mississippi and North Carolina.
