How-to • MirrorLink Samsung How...
1. install LG MirrorDrive and please ignore that the app does not work.
2. go to Settings/Sounds and notifications/Application notifications/LG MirrorDrive/disable "Allow notification" (sorry, in the Video is notification enabled)
3. install Button Savior or same like that
4. optional you can install Nova Launcher or same like that for Landscape
1. installiere LG MirrorDrive und ignoriere das die App nicht läuft

3. installiere Button Savior für die Home Taste

1. Instalamos LG MirrorDrive
2. Ajustes/Sondidos y notificaciones//Notificaciones de aplicacion/LG MirrorDrive/ desactiva Permmitri notificaciones
3. Instalamos Button Savior (botones de acción)
4. Opcional instalar un Launcher compatible con rotación horizontal, como Nova Launcher

Worked for me, Android 9.0 Samsung Galaxy S10+. LG Mirror 1.2.1.2 (don't install Car mode) does require Rockscout. (Make sure you disable to notifications on your phone for LGMirror). I had to try it several times, deleting several programs to make sure it worked. Still follow the steps for the video and it should work.
Only downside for me sofar which I couldn't fix yet is the quality of the mirroring. In Android Auto I changed the setting from 720 output to 1080 output, it seems that Mirrorlink only mirror 720, havent been able to find where to change this yet.

hey i also have the s10 Plus and Seat leon Cupra 2017 but it doesnt work while driving... monitor gets black but music is playing, as soon as i stop the car the monitor is back again.. what can i do? did you face this problem too?
Do you also have problems with sound on your radio when using MirrorLink? The most noticeable is when i’m watch UA-cam. The picture cuts, and the sound is crackling. When I use navigation and listen to Spotify music, the sound is cut too. (Passat B8 2016, Discovery Media)
Hello, I have passat b8 2015 and app connect, but when I press app connect it said that I need key or contact locar dealer. Can I do that somehow?
So, as I understand, you only need to have the app installed? I mean, I'm not able to open the app, I get the same notofication, that it works only on LG phones.
You did not understand. "...settings ... LG MirrorDrive / disable "Allow notification" (sorry, in the video is notification enabled)". Then you can not get the same notification. Launch LG MirrorDrive when MirrorLink is connected.

oxymoron lg fixed a bug and now even if u disable the notification it still says u cant use it... literal translation was "app currently not supported or not functioning, and when i unplugged it, it said it only works for lg phones, thats with the notifications off :/

Hello. Got it working on Samsung Galaxy A3 2016 6.0.1 + Skoda Fabia III + Mirrorlink (only, no smartlink) on stock Bolero radio. There's one issue however with google maps. I can listen to car's radio and watch navigation, but when first message to turn comes up from google maps, radio stops playing and there is no possibility to listen to radio again (when pressing audio source button on steering wheel mirrorlink turns off). Any ideas how to solve this? (so google maps interrupts audio only when needs to).
With Sygic and BringGo you can listen radio. For google maps or other i have no solution at this time. I turn off google maps audio.
Works perfectly on my SamsungA3. Bought a S8+ and it just won't work. LG MirrorDrive will not even show up on dashboard apps. Only app that shows is CarMode. If I uninstall it it will ask me (CarModeStub) to install it.
Calling LG MirrorDrive from inside CarMode will not work.

Aber ich habe ein "schönheitsproblem"...Als Samsung Carmode startet, habe ich auf die linke Seite ein scharzes Feld, mit drei Buttons drauf (Home, Voice, und ergend etwas)...Dieses Feld verschwindet nicht als ich mein Home Screen meines Phones sehe...
Hast du eine Idee, wie ich es verschwinden lasse? Ich sehe, das Du nicht sowas hast...

The "car mode" apk that is downloaded directly from the play store is not compatible with my samsung S6 smartphone with android 7.0
I installed different version of car mode and when I connect it by usb, this apk does not appear on the screen of the car.
The "LG mirror drive" apk gives me an error message "the application can not start or it does not work"
Any idea how to fix it?
