Jack and Jill, it makes feel how the Lindy Hoppers dance with music and play with it. In strictly they are sure on music phrases, but not on instrumental accents. I love jack and jill, it show how much your spirit is one with the music and with the improvvisation of the band playing.
Since the dances I attend are based on social improvisation, I like to see what it looks like to get really good at it (I am trying to figure it out), so if had to choose, it would be Jack and Jill. However, coming from a dance background of non-social style dances (and not much improvisation), I would not mind in addition watching a couple or two or a group invited to perform a well constructed dance routine that was choreographed to a specific song and in a style they excelled in, as that is also creative and inspiring to watch.
Strictly is better IMO. Jack and Jill is a cute feature of the modern scene but Lindy isn't about social dancing (contrary to popular opinion). Lindy formed in an environment where the best and most flashy steps would get you gigs, and Whitey's Lindy Hopppers are known as the best for this reason, not for their social dancing abilities. Jack and Jills are a nice way to honor the style and legacy of Frankie (who was a great social dancer) and the California scene from which the contest is derived. But entering a contest and throwing down your best steps with a partner is the best way to honor the true spirit of the dance, and that is the biggest part that has been lost in recent years.
I can't really decide cause I love both and they look absolutely amazing and fun
Jack and Jill is my favorite because I am a social dancer.

Anyone know where I can find that clip with Ryan @ 1:03? Also, my vote is for Jack & Jill (Improv > Choreography).
MWLF 2018 invitational
Jack and Jill
Jack n' Jill all the way.
Improvisation and musicality tops doing a choreography over music for which that choreography wasn't thought for.
