60,000 thoughts a day and Proverbs 24:9 says thought of foolishness is a sin. No one can repent of sins. When you believe the gospel you have repented (changed mind) and believe in Jesus! So easy and simple! Thank God!
Thank you for standing on the truth of the “ Gospel “ For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto Salvation, to every one that believeth - Romans 1:16 God bless you brother ❤🇬🇧🙂🙏
The statement in the video is true. The concept of "repenting of your sins" to be saved is not explicitly found in the Bible. The Greek word "metanoia," translated as "repent," means a change of mind, specifically from unbelief to belief in the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Bible emphasizes salvation through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not through turning from all sins. However, this doesn't mean we should sin willy-nilly. While repentance means changing your mind to believe in Jesus, living a Christian life by faith naturally leads to striving for holiness and turning away from sin. We are called to live by faith and reflect Christ in our actions, showing our faith through our deeds (James 2:17). Sinning intentionally goes against the transformative change that true faith brings into our lives.
I'm not saying just go and sin it up. There obviously is natural consequences to sin. Like if I go and Rob a bank, I'll go to jail. There's natural consequences. And yes, we should live lives that are holy righteous and set apart that glorify God. But not to earn rewards or earn blessings.
@@SavedByTheSimpleGospel Thanks for clarifying! I agree, living a life that glorifies God isn't about earning rewards or blessings but is a natural response to our faith in Jesus. True repentance and faith naturally lead us to strive for holiness. While there are natural consequences to sin, our motivation to avoid sin comes from our love for God and desire to reflect Christ in our lives, not from a fear of punishment or hope for rewards. It’s all about living out our faith authentically and letting our actions show the transformative power of God’s grace in our lives.
@@SavedByTheSimpleGospelthe only reason there has been any progress with sins is because Jesus took my heart of stone and is making a heart of flesh. 100% His work, I turned to Christ and He does the work. Amen
Jesus Christ shed his blood for our redemption and for the forgiveness of sins, Ephesians 1 7kjv. God accepted Jesus Christ paying for the World's sins, 2000 years ago on Calvary. God stopped imputing sins on the World, 2 Corinthians 5 18-21kjv. Therefore all you need to do is believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins was buried and rose again the 3rd day by which we are saved, 1 Corinthians 15 1-4kjv.
@@happydays310 You didn't answer the question. Hitler was a believer. The Pope is a believer. 90% of Nazi Germany's population was protestant and very few were atheist. You couldn't be in the SS if you were an atheist. So what makes us believers different than those believers?
Amen little brother! Repent means to change your mind. Upwards of 160 times in the Bible the single condition held out for a lost person to be saved is belief (pisteuō). We believe in our minds. We make a choice. We turn from trusting in ourselves and our works to trusting in Christ’s finished work on the cross. When someone tries to argue with you in the future about this, and they wrongly say that there is a difference between head knowledge and heart knowledge - regarding salvation - and they try to say that we need to believe in our heart and not with their mind; do not believe them! Judas Iscariot is a perfect example. In Matthew 27:3 (kjv) it says that Judas repented, but it is a different Greek word. The word in that verse is metamelomai. That Greek word means to change your emotion. This is not the same thing as metanoeō which means to change your mind. Judas changed his emotion because he was remorseful for his actions, but he never change his mind about who Jesus was. Judas was an unbeliever (John 6:64; John 6:70). Changing our emotions, or feeling remorseful, does not eternal justify anyone. Changing our mind is what saves. That is true Biblical repentance. Keep up the great work little buddy!
"Grace is not a licence to sin." Is not in the Bible and makes me more law conscience. I'm dead to the law and law keeping in Christ. "Love the brethren and believe the gospel"are my go bys.
And no I'm not saying repentance is unbiblical. I'm saying "repent of your sins" is unbiblical..

James 1-2 is referring to good works that are profitable before men. Has nothing to do with salvation.
