For me, I have found nirvana with Hiby RS2->Pioneer sa8800->HD58x. The only problem is the weight and size for any portability. Any smaller amp has not satisfied at all.

I have a Pathos Inpol Ear, how does it pair with a 1266 TC? Can i go all the way, or is a Diana the max for that amp? I use a Accuphase DP 570 sacd-player since i have many discs!

Fair, fair, good, really good, never owned dcs, and really great on Woo wa33 elite but all my headphones sound amazing on the wa33

It's not bad with 1266 TC, the somewhat unique bass signature of the amp pairs well.
