Great video! Everything covered made perfect sense. How does @Stape recommend adding the web GTM container to a Shopify store? Would you recommend manually adding it to the tag per the usual configuration, or by using a Shopify custom pixel? I’m worried that adding it manually would prevent it from loading properly on Shopify’s checkout and thank you pages.

Thanks for the great video! In Google Analytics 4, there is an option to add a Google Ads link (under Admin > Product Links). Since the setup you recommend is already feeding data go GA4 using the server side GTM, why is not recommended to just use the GA4 Google Ads link?
We advise our clients to set up Google Ads tracking using sGTM. We have conducted multiple tests and found that direct integration works better for conversion tracking and attribution than importing from GA4. You can set up two conversions: Google Ads native via sGTM as the Primary method, and set up Analytics imports as the Secondary method to monitor them.

For the rest of the triggers ( initiate_checkout , purchase , view content….) we create triggers with same variables? And also the tags are created in the same way?

we suggest adding web GTM using stape app for shopify apps.shopify.com/server-gtm. It works on checkout and thank you pages.

@@atlibjarna there is no need to configure deduplication since, technically these would be different conversions for Google

yes, follow the exact same logic with other tags, triggers and variables.
