Sato,s Fukko Judo & Tomiki Aikido

Sato's Renaissance Judo, Tomiki's Aikido/ Goshinjutsu & Hosagawa's Taihojutsu. Sato is an instructor of Tomiki Aikido at Waseda University in Tokyo Japan an have developed a school of Renaissance Judo which incorporates Tomiki's Aikido.

I think it is wonderful when I see instructors putting the art back together again. All this was once one large art but through time it has been separated, good to see others trying to piece it back again.

In a nightclub years ago, a bouncer tried to apply a choke from behind.
I pinned his right hand to my chest with my right and, circled my left arm under and over his armpit clockwise.
And had him in a nice bent armlock. You have to catch it just before it is applied.
I was very drunk but remembered this technique from my Aikido training.

I have practiced Judo, Tomiki Aikido and now BJJ. Aikido is special .

I have been in Aikido for about 15 yeas now and I have found it is very important, for me, along with my other styles. Kali, BJJ and MMA are those that I have focused on for the last 41 years now.

@@cagedraptor It's good to try different styles and be interested to see what other people are doing. Arts in Isolation tend to end up only knowing how to fight against their own style. It's always good for martial artists to put their own knowledge to one side and learn from another style now and again. I sure your Aikido is stronger because of the knowledge you bring from other styles.👍
