Hey Lorrie! If you want to use the leaves and flowers of the marshmallow plant, you can within the first year, allow the flowers to bloom before harvesting. harvesting the root of the marshmallow plant, you must wait a minimum of two years after its initial planting...purple Iris :) beautiful chives. Those do look like ground cherries! 5 colors look great! Lovely tree :) thanks for sharing!

Thanks so much Adriane! ♥ I think it's the marshmallows 3rd year this year and I just harvested some for the first time! I'm excited to use it. They weren't ground cherries; both of my apps tell me they're common nipplewort. Thanks for the visit! ♥

Your garden is springing to life. My dwarf lilac it's just finishing up its first bloom. Sage is so good with sweet potato hash. We also just let our asparagus go to seed. The moisture on Vancouver Island is looking better this year (so far).

Hi Lorrie! Your garden is beautiful! We have concord grapes we do not thin our grapes. We do, cut the vine after the last bunch of grapes, all the energy then goes to the grapes. We do the pruning alittle later in the season to be sure all grapes have formed. Great garden tour!
