Dude...I just removed 17 year old wax from my old Silverado that I put on when I was a young man. It also works for the mildew or what ever it is, I was just about ready to start looking for new trim. I can't thank you enough. :-)
Can't believe it! I've been struggling to remove wax from the trim on my wife's Mazda for a year. 2 erasers for 48 cents at walmart and all the residue was gone in a couple minutes!!!!! Thanks
This is unbelievable....ordered these Erasers and it was like magic with no effort the old wax came off the black trim on my car. Where was this 20 years ago......Fantastic and Thanks
OMG, IT WORKS! I have used several products to remove wax from the plastic sections on my wife's Honda Element and nothing worked until I saw your eraser method.. No way I thought, nothing could be that easy and cheap, but it worked. I went over all the front end and it looks brand new. If anyone has ever owned an earlier Honda Element you know how much plastic there is. AGAIN THANKS!!!
Been detailing my cars since 1985.....Toyota Celica.....Toyota highlander....Volvo 850 and now finally Tesla Model X. Those White plastic trim stains have been impossible to remove. I tried almost everything and nothing worked....until now!!!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
You are an absolute legend! Saved me big time. I have a lease car and try to take good care of it (it’s someone’s else’s property, right) I gave it a good wax and it left dreaded marks on black trim! This technique was the only technique that would work!! Thank you millions! I used a plastic ‘back to black’ spray after and it looks brand new now. Even when the spray wears off you can no longer see the excess wax! 😊
Wow, this works amazingly well. I've had wax stains on my motorbike for a couple of years that I couldnt get off. The eraser took it off in seconds. Such a simple solution. Thanks Mate
Wow this is fantastic. Every time I polish my car I get some on the black plastic molding. No matter how careful I try to be there seems to be no way to keep it off of the plastic when you polish the areas where the metal and the molding meet. I had several years of wax build up on the plastic. The eraser really works. Amazing!
OMG! It worked!!! I'm so happy. It even took off old baked in wax from the paint too. You just have to buff in circles the eraser marks after it removes the old wax from the body paint. It seemed to loosen/warm the old wax. Them rub with a cloth in circles and Wha-La a shine where the old dried up wax was. Of course it took the wax right off the plastic trim right away. No buffing needed. Just rub off the pieces of the eraser left behind. I used Pearl White eraser. This was a God send, thanks!!!
Oh dear! I just spent days polishing and fixing up the body work on this "new to me" BMW. Then I realized the polisher had left white "stain" over the plastic trim on the wheel wells. I thought I was screwed...I have not tried it yet, but this looks like magic! Thanks man!
This was a lifesaver! We let a fellow that needed work wax our new truck a year ago and he got wax all over the black trim and it's looked terrible ever since. We are selling the truck and had to get the was off and this worked like a charm! Thank you!
I just saw this video moments ago and I went outside to try this trick on my car with a pencil I had laying around. I was so pleased to find out how well this worked for me. It took the wax right off. I've been wondering for the last two months how I was going to get the wax off of my plastic trim. I'll make it a point next time I head out to buy a couple of large erasers just for this particular purpose. Thanks a lot for the tip.
You mean pencil eraser that kids use in school? My mistake I had put some was odometer plastic, the transparent one. Now in day time I can see but in night its blurry.
@@jeevan4337 Try an Art Supply store. Look in the Plastic Polish section, they should have a Plastic Cleaner and Polish in one. I seem to recall the product I used was "210" or had that in the brand name. That cleaner polish should remove wax from the gauges lens.
Thanks so much for this. I ended up getting wax on the black trim on my 2021 Bronco Sport and it's driving me crazy looking at it. I am going to run out today and buy some white pencil erases. Thanks again for this helpful tip.
I had put Nu finish on my new vehicle(2021 challenger) and had a little bit of overlap on some of the plastic absolutely destroying the look of the look of the vehicle.Tried this trick and fully restored it, I have been looking for a solution for months, thank you.
Worked amazingly, I applied some black polish after to make the trim like new. I got a little black polish on my white paintwork, tried quickly wiping it off but it left a stain. Quickly tried some soapy water but still didn't come off, I then thought lets just see if the eraser trick works on this too? And hey presto it worked! Thanks
OMG thank you so much I waxed my car and after a couple rains the flat black stickers all over my car are completely white and it makes it look like complete crap I've been trying to get it off now for a good week
Thank you so much for this video sir! I got a new chin spoiler for my ‘01 mustang and I got wax on it and it doesn’t look that good, it’s been like that for MONTHS. Now that I found your vid it’s good as new!
Thank you so much! I've always wondered for years how to get the white color from wax, off of my black trim. This will make my car look so much better!
I just went out and spent $.79 on two pink erasers (they didn't have the white). It worked great! I had to use a rag to really wipe off the wax/eraser residue. Thanks for the great tip!
This worked perfect, thank you! I used the little ones that slip over the end of a pencil and have the little wedge hat--perfect for getting in that groove where the plastic meets the metal.
What the... that's just bloody genius! Now, I know rubber erasers are great from removing patina on small metal parts, like copper and brass etc, but I never thought of using it on plastic trim to remove wax residue. I too have like 10 month old wax stains on the plastic on my car, that I haven't been able to remove and just now thought I'd look up on UA-cam, and wouldn't you know it, the answer was here all along. Thank you! :)
Great trick:) just polished and waxed my car, and i actually masked of the plastic but apperently not good enough because polish had gotten onto the plastic... used this little trick and all the polish and wax are now gone from the plastic:)
Wow. I have tried all sorts of bumper and trim restoring and cleaning products over the years. They have all been pretty useless. Just tried a rubber. Worked a treat. There were some slight scuffs in the trim around the shell that had brushed against something. I kept rubbing them and they practically vanished.
The body shop quoted me for 200 bucks to repaint the trim...You saved me 199 bucks ($1 from walmart for an eraser)...Thank you!!! I need a link to buy you a coffee or something..
Just bought and used Pentel Hi-Polymer erasers from Walmart, 3 pack for $1.46. They worked like a charm. I'd estimate the 3 pack for a DIY'er would be a lifetime supply
I didn't even try to remove the wax residue as I know unless I know the right trick, it ain't going to work. I tried the eraser trick and it worked wonderfully. Thanks for the tips!
Amazing. Just tried this on my BMW after spending a small fortune on various car cleaning products none of which worked. Only thing was then getting rubber residue off but easy with some cheap window cleaner. I thought the white marks were the plastic fading and didn't realise it was wax.
Damn bro it works! How did you figure it out. I polished my shower stall glass and I had white polish dots on my black toilet tiles. Just tried them out with a regular pencil eraser and it totally works! My wife is finally off my back!
Hello, I have a fine line of dried wax between the black trim and paint over one window on my car. I was thinking of going in between there with an eraser. I will inevitably touch the paint with the eraser, will this damage the paint ? Thank you and thanks for the video 👍

UNBELIEVABLE !!! Worked like magic.... I never thought this would work till I tried it myself... Thank You a million !!!

This really works! I used them to remove stubborn white streaks from stray wax on two cars, a Hyundai Sonata and a Toyota RAV4. Thanks!
Thanks so much for this. I ended up getting wax on the black trim on my 2021 Bronco Sport and it's driving me crazy looking at it. I am going to run out today and buy some white pencil erases. Thanks again for this helpful tip.
White Mr Pen erasers worked like a charm. Erased the white wax residue right off my black plastic trim.

Way to go, man! Great find. Now to ditch the punisher emblem.
Just finished waxing my car and got it on my trim. Found this video and tried it. Came off so easy!! Thanks!
Just used a staples pink eraser on my break from work and worked like a dream thank you!

Ha ha, I was thinking the same thing until I saw that you already thought of it.
Lets make it happen 🤣
agree better than any brand remover!
Worked great, I used the pink version and didn't crumble as much as the yellow I suspect. Thanks!
Worked like a charm...I was just about to buy some expensive cleaner just for this. Thanks for the tip!
Thank you so much. I tried T cut, WD-40 and washing over and over. I'll get some of these and try them 😊
I like the way this video is short and sweet and also has all the information that I needed.

Awesome thank you for posting this! My Challenger has wax on a lot of the black trim parts.
MY DUDE!!! You just saved me a ton of bullshit and cash attempting to remove wax from my motorcycle and truck plastics. Thanks!
You sir are a freaking Genius !!!
Amazing. Just tried this on my BMW after spending a small fortune on various car cleaning products none of which worked. Only thing was then getting rubber residue off but easy with some cheap window cleaner. I thought the white marks were the plastic fading and didn't realise it was wax.
Absolutely genius. Worked perfectly thank you !!
Thank you so much, man! I was worried I wouldn't be able to get it off 😅
Damn bro it works! How did you figure it out. I polished my shower stall glass and I had white polish dots on my black toilet tiles. Just tried them out with a regular pencil eraser and it totally works! My wife is finally off my back!

Great video, haw would I remove tyre shine from the trims, Bumber? It's gone white and streaky, thanks
Very good my friend but I have question is that can apply on car body as well if there’s Candle Wax?
You crafty son of a gun. It's a right bastard to fix this issue with trim like that. I so hate trying to deal with it. And there you go. thumbs up.
I just waxed my truck today. Thank you for the info!!
Looking at your white paint, you could do a vid on tar spot removal.
I just use some black trim wax, it also protects the trim, I might try using eraser 1st and then black trim wax next time...
Wow.!!!! How long did it take to think of that???
That is slick, great video !
What is the long term effect on the plastic? I'm concerned of the breakdown of the plastic.
Finally found a solution. Thanks buddy
Great video. Thanks so much for sharing your solution.
Great man!!! Will tar remover work too?.But you remove not the wax but the polish... right?
This has been bugging me for 2 months ! That’s it !? Hot damn. Thank you.
You just saved me £10 (15$?) luckily I never purchased that Autoglym bumper restorer.. Sir I salute you..
I got my Jeep detailed and the guy left wax every where on the trim/fenders. Thanks for the tip brother.
Life changing!!!! Exactly the advise I needed!!
