- A Louisiana family suffered a tragic loss when three siblings were killed in a car crash Friday.
Lindy Simmons, 20, Christopher Simmons, 17, and Kamryn Simmons, 15, died after their vehicle was hit by a wrong-way driver on I-49 in St. Landry Parish, according to KALB.
The wrong-way driver, John Lundy, 54, of Texas, was also killed, according to the outlet.
The siblings’ mother, Dawn Simmons, and Christopher’s 16-year-old girlfriend, Marissa, remained hospitalized in critical condition, family members said.

Losing a sibling at a young age is the worst thing that ever happened in my life. I can't imagine the heartache of losing 3 at the same time, especially during the holidays. My heart goes out to each and every one of them.
Also the girlfriend of one of the siblings and the mom were in the car too, both were seriously injured and feel the effects of it the rest of their lives. I can't even imagine.
This is so heartbreaking it’s so hard to lose someone like this but I send my biggest hugs the the family..
REST IN PEACE .

Apparently stiffer penalties for drunken homicides like this don't work. Drunks don't read the law.

My mom was harsh to me and people always said “you only get one mom” . You only get one of each kid, their look, personality, your bond since you had them so regardless of how many you have left the ones gone will be missed for all the things about them
So awful,my friends wife and children were killed in an accident,he is still not well. He was suppose to be with them and he was so mad that he didn't go with them on their last trip the other guy died too. Total of 4 deaths in one crash. I knew something was wrong when he didn't hear from her for several hours.
Their family wouldn't be normal ever again. Each day they'll break away a little. Such a sad thing to happen to any family. 💔

Imo,it hits big family's different. I come from a big family of 8 and I'm blessed all of us are still here but I couldn't imagine life if I lost one of them let alone 3 at the same time to the same tragic incident ..I pray for this family and most definitely the parent's 🙏🙏

There was also another young woman involved in the crash. Christopher’s (the 17year old boy) girlfriend was in the car too and she was hospitalized!💔

In northern Virginia, before all of the developments there were as a Mack truck going in the wrong lane at 2 am. It was the scariest thing I have ever seen! Pitch black headlights straight at you at 65 mph in a 45 mph zone. I can’t imagine losing 3 people of an entire family. What a horrendous nightmare!!!

The other party was at fault. His blood alcohol level was 3 X's the legal limit. He traveling on the wrong side of the interstate and hit them head-on. GoFundMe collected over $760K for the family. I cannot fathom how this family is coping with such a tragic loss.
