This artist made his big debut in the music industry in 2013 under the name Mason, the Soul. Then in 2017, he changed his stage name to Car, the Garden, a literal translation of his name Cha Jeong-won, and pleasantly surprised everyone in indie circles with his unique voice and dream-like sounds. The following year, he became the final winner of the fan-voting audition program "The Fan" and further secured his position in the industry. Last month, Car, the Garden released his much-anticipated new album, "Absence." Featuring 5 tracks, the album is filled with his distinct, warm sounds and also showcases his growth as a musician.

2013년 '메이슨 더 소울'이라는 이름으로 활동을 시작한 그는, 절친한 음악동료 오혁의 제안으로 카더가든으로 활동명을 바꾸며 2017년 정규 1집 [Apartment]을 발표, 독보적인 음색으로 인디씬의 주목을 받기 시작한다. 이후 2018년 SBS 오디션 프로그램 [더 팬]에 출연 어떤 노래도 카더가든만의 감성으로 재탄생시켜 ‘음색 깡패’라는 수식어를 얻으며 최종 우승을 차지, 대중적 인지도를 넓혔다.
1월 28일 발표되는 그의 미니앨범 [부재]는 카더가든표 감성 발라드를 대표하는 타이틀곡 ‘아무렇지 않은 사람’, 그의 아련한 목소리와 몽환적 건반 사운드가 매력적인 ‘그대 작은 나의 세상이 되어’와 ‘파도’, 싱어송라이터 오존(O3ohn)과의 듀엣곡 ‘긴 겨울’ 등 총 5곡이 수록됐다.
카더가든은 [I’m Live] 무대를 통해 미니앨범 타이틀 곡 ‘아무렇지 않은 사람’을 비롯해 수록곡 ‘그대 작은 나의 세상이 되어’와 히트곡 ‘Sarah’, ‘Home Sweet Home ’등을 통해 겨울의 끝자락에 선사하는 카더가든표 겨울 감성을 시청자들에게 선물할 예정이다.
