im glad they did these challenger decks again :) it makes my life easier to have standard legal decks that are ready to play vs me trying to scrounge up a jank deck out of whats in my current collection

This is the best deck personally
according to the professor actually
another great unpacking awesome
This is my favorite deck
my favorite is deadly discovery
Problem there 2:34
You would be able to see your next card won’t you.
That’s the problem with legions landing.
With the flip cards you either need to use sleeves or a checklist card (with regular back) that you'd replace when playing the card.
Yeah I mean when your drawing a card in your library.
I really want this deck!
I have no clue what you mean 😐.
Since the deck doesn't come with a checklist card (those can be found in packs of Ixalan), you need to buy some card sleeves like these and sleeve the entire deck: www.amazon.com/Ultra-Pro-UPR85600-Eclipse-Standard/dp/B07B8DT6S3
MTG Unpacked ok thanks 👌
Im like 100 i been thinking about getting a white/blue deck this helps alot
Why isn’t the 1/1 vampires there?
And 2/2 knights
Good question. I think they should've included tokens as well. Otherwise you can use any card turned upside down, or dice.
War of the spark ajani's pridemate looks pretty buff
also do you HAVE to have a sideboard? or do you have to have only 60 cards? im the type that like to just include those in the deck to begin with if they are good, with a little land pool adjustment
No to both! Your sideboard can have no more than 15 cards (but can be less), while your main deck must have at least 60 cards. You can have more if you like, but consistency goes down with more cards. Bear in mind that if you have no sideboard, there's nothing you can do to change your deck in game 2 or 3 of a match to handle threats your deck has trouble handling!
im sad they didn't make a boros angels deck :(
That would've been cool! Maybe they weren't as competitive at the time they were designing these decks?
Looking for a deck for modern. Should I go this or mono white Aggro? Thanks, love the videos!
I'd start with this page to find out what's currently doing well in the Modern metagame, and there are a bunch of budget options listed too: www.mtggoldfish.com/metagame/modern#paper
How would this hold up in terms of value (for a newer mtg player) against a prerelease pack?
Way better. You could play this at home, with friends, or competitively at FNM for the next 6 months. With prerelease you build your own deck, but usually it's only good enough for the prerelease event itself. Even better would be if you could attend the upcoming War of the Spark prerelease at your local game store😉
@@MTGUnpacked thanks, I do intend on going to prerelease and cracking a couple packs (Mainly cause I really wanna get Teyo for flavor reasons lol) but these seem way more attractive, specially since my main format is commander.
@@MTGUnpacked alright so. I just found a prerelease event that I can attend... How do I go about building my deck w the prerelease pack? Lol sorry to bother
Take a look here: magic.wizards.com/en/event-types/prerelease
@@MTGUnpacked thanks. Definitely going... This set had me at "at least one planeswalker per booster pack" 😂
I like this one alot...
It's annoying that I don't have a lgs, there was one near by but now I play it's shutdown
Sorry to hear that. Mine shutdown last month😢
Are you going to upload unboxing on the deadly discovery challenger deck?
Yes, I'm editing that now. It should be up in an hour or so.
@@MTGUnpacked oh i am so ready for that
ajanis pridemate is from the new block?
This is in Core Set 2019 and War of the Spark. Interesting that they included the WAR version with new artwork!
@@MTGUnpacked is a good thing, this way you don't have to change that card when the format rotates
You can still use older cards as long as that card name is still legal in the format. So the Core 2019 version is still fine to use until late next year.
@@MTGUnpacked i didn't know that, thanks!! :)
How do you play with double sided cards? I am a new player.
It depends on the card. Usually one side is considered the front, and the text tells you when you can flip it around to the other side. Some may flip back and forth, while others remain flipped. To actually use these you need to either play with sleeves, or use a checklist card in your deck, then retrieve the actual card when you cast it.
MTG Unpacked does the checklist card come with the deck? Because I didn’t see anything...
No. The expectation is that you would use sleeves. If you wanted a checklist card, you'd have to open packs from the set where the card came from, or check with your local game store if they have spares.
Hmm not the best deck I would say
Wait what if we don't have tokens *new player
You can use another facedown card to represent the token, or something hand-drawn.
@@MTGUnpacked ok so like have a dice on a extra sleve to count how much attack and defence
If they're 1/1s, I wouldn't bother. Or you could write it down. Whatever is easiest to keep track of.
@@MTGUnpacked cool because as you said one of the cards needed 1/1 WHITE vanpire but i only have black for my other deck
