I am happy for Kyle. I am sure he will turn that Silver Eagle into a beauty. Thank you for sharing this and I look forward to seeing it's progress. Have a great day!
I like Kyle positive attitude through the whole ordeal, seems like a nice guy to hang out with. Thanks Andrew for sharing a different style of video, still bus/rv related, love it.
I just recently purchased my first bus... a 1985 Silver Eagle Model 10. I got a fantastic deal on it. It's in amazing shape, however, I'm doing some minor uprgrades and mods to it. i drive it every weekend. I'm 36 and it's beyond my expectations... but still well within most peoples' reach. I have watched many of your videos of high end Prevosts and I love all them. I would love to make a video with you of the vast differences between obtainability and practicality between eagle coaches and Prevost coaches. There are many pros and cons to both depending on ability and budget.
very cool, cant wait to see what Kyle does with it, everyone needs a project, right? i do like the wood on the walls, wouldnt mind having that pic in the back room there, nice picture/painting etc. this bus has potential to look very cool. hope it gets restored. i did commercial towing for years and on a big truck call, 2 hours is what they always tell you, then they always tell you 20 more minutes every time when you call back. another great video Andrew, and as always stay safe and give Sadie some love for me.
I've also been looking at older Eagles, and have found some deals, but yeah the suspension under these alone can be very expensive, Id love to see how this turned out.
Good luck man. I am a lucky dude. . My wife saw the coach we have the first time and is WE GOT TO HAVE IT! So I'm like 'okay' and man it's been fun ever since. Pull up the floorboards and go through the likage, I am sure you got this.
Looking forward to swing what Kyle does to restore this vintage Silver Eagle Coach . I remember when Trailways had the Silver Eagle Fleet of Buses back in the day .
Selena called her bus Big Bertha but I don’t believe this is the actual bus. It may be the one from the film but not the actual bus. The actual bus I think is still owned by Selena’s family.
22:10 If you don't like the light fixture that's above the sink, and are going to get rid of it, I am interested in it. I have 3 bathrooms in my house, and 2 of them have that exact light fixture. This would make all 3 bathroom light fixtures match.
The best cleaner for the soft stuff like headliner is 1/3 dawn ultra dish detergent 1/3 rubbing alcohol 1/3 water scrubbing with soft brush then vacuum with wet vacuum
i was offered this same bus yrs ago in arizona. they gave me the same song/dance about the bus being used in the selena movie. it was way too expensive for my taste and in much better shape.
Yep, second on Scot C. The Bus Grease Monkey but he is stuck in west Tennessee. Silver Eagles have a special set of issues to look for. Scott can work miracles on the mechanicals.
Looks like a really cool project, and considering the age overall it of course requires some serious TLC but for the most part appears pretty complete and solid? The young lady on the wall seemed quite "excited" and was very "attentive" when listening to your plans about future development?
I have parts manuals and service manuals for a lot of mci Eagles and others from 60s throw mid and late 90s buses Grease Monkey may also be able to help you out I'm sure he's got plenty of manuals if he doesn't I'm sure he's got plenty of retain knowledge of it to help you out

It won’t depreciate any more than it already has and he could make money on it today by parting it out if he had too so in my eyes he’s made a pretty sound investment so far. It shows that you haven’t done any or much research on these these old buses to come out with an idiotic statement like that, it just shows you have no idea what your talking about!!
the motor sounds healthy batteries a little weak but thats typical on old buses and boats the first gear thing sucks but it is a really cool bus i too like the old Wood paneling and build out that is there
Hello sir, I have about a dozen people a day reach out to me for advice, feel free to drop a comment and I will try to get back to you. if you would like to consult privately, my rates start at $100 an hour. Unfortunately UA-cam takes way too much time and it's impossible for me to keep up with everyone. Wish I had enough time in the day to spend time with each individual subscriber
@@RVingwithAndrewSteele Andrew, thanks, best for us to first see a bunch of different used coaches and then get with you as to which ones to consider. Where do you suggest we drive for a week or two vacation and opportunity to check out coaches at different reliable sellers near each other/ We would drive out from L.A. so 5-6 hours each way works. What area is best for this and what delers to priortize??
Someone asked what was paid for this bus, I won't say but I know because I was watching and came very close to bidding in the last seconds. There was video of the bus in the listing that I actually saw a couple of years back. The cool part is while at home recovering from Covid19 I watched my first video with the buyer and his bus biz and Bus Grease Monkey and his bus biz (not together). I also watched my first video of another guy in Arizona who details buses that I believe the new owner knows. I'd let him get your new buses paint in order, it looks like just a scratch. 😂 Good luck with a cool purchase!!!!!! Oh for another connection for eagle information join the forum "Eagles International.net". AND at the end of the video, there's the guy who details buses that I didn't realize POSTED the video. I went ahead and subscribed as the author seems like a good honest dude. 👍
It should buff right out, may have to color sand a spot or two and use a little extra compound and extra elbow grease and it’ll look like it was just painted, lol 😂
Spirit of Selena. Silver eagle ruled the roads for bands and crews for years.
I would sit here day after day and watch this bus rebuild series. Thanks again Andrew for a great video.
It was broke down in the movie selina, and it's still broke down in real life!
In life everything brakes down
That's why we need doctors & mechanic

Thank you Kyle good investment 😊🇺🇲🇵🇷
Neat. I would have bought it. I love vintage stuff like this

One of my supervisors a few years ago, her brother owned the impala from that movie.
Great Video, Great Project Coach! too much work for me but a piece of History! Price should increase!
I've also been looking at older Eagles, and have found some deals, but yeah the suspension under these alone can be very expensive, Id love to see how this turned out.
Great video, thanks for sharing it.
Jen will be delighted over this project!!!!!😃😉🤣
Can't wait to see the process! make sure to film A lot of it! You need to get Kyle A GoPro and teach him how to film himself throughout the adventure!
Nice find good luck with your new ride
Leuk at US Coach in New Jersey has tons of mechanical parts for that bus.

Kyle's looking for a challenge??
He sure got one!!

Engine sounds good
Beautiful coach... gotta be Awesome
He does Great work so no doubt it will be Cool !

Selena called her bus Big Bertha but I don’t believe this is the actual bus. It may be the one from the film but not the actual bus. The actual bus I think is still owned by Selena’s family.
The Big Bertha actual bus was black and the Big Bertha movie bus is red.
Contact Scott of bus Grease monkey. He knows everything about them. He has a you tube channel
Bro no on can mention a bus without a comment like yours,Scott is very bus savvy but MANY MANY others are as well.
Anxious to see the wife’s reaction.
I love Silver Eagle Motorcoach made in the good old usa!"
THIS IS THE BUS FROM THE MOVIE TRUST ME
You might check, 67 Model 1's were built in Belgium.
It's not even the same model coach.
not the same. this one was converted in the 90's, the movie came out in 97.
Andrew, I think that paint job will come to life with a little elbow grease and buffing.

YO YOOOOOOO The movie Selena is DOPENESSSSSSS!!!!
Kyle, can you post the 4 digit VIN of this unit? It should be in the engine compartment, right side stamped in a 3-inch long plate on the frame.
The best cleaner for the soft stuff like headliner is 1/3 dawn ultra dish detergent 1/3 rubbing alcohol 1/3 water scrubbing with soft brush then vacuum with wet vacuum
Cool old bus.We only had short blue buses . And you had to have your helmet on .
Awesome. Do a garage theme and leave the exterior appearance rough----world's only rat rod Eagle. All buses need a name: "The Ghost of Selena".
Great video Andrew I need to go fund me page LOL can't wait to see what Kyle does
i was offered this same bus yrs ago in arizona. they gave me the same song/dance about the bus being used in the selena movie. it was way too expensive for my taste and in much better shape.
can u make videos during the rebuild process ? , I would really like to see that
Very cool!
I always thought I was a “motivated buyer” who bought “used stuff in need of tlc” 😂
I have met my match. This man wins by about 20,000lbs.
This should be interesting to see him redo it. Andrew how’s your mom?
Yep, second on Scot C. The Bus Grease Monkey but he is stuck in west Tennessee. Silver Eagles have a special set of issues to look for. Scott can work miracles on the mechanicals.
The right stuff
What kind of camera and audio are you using? Just discovered you guys awesome stuff!
Its an oldie but a goodie
What does a full restoration cost for this bus?
Awesome
I have that same bathroom sink in one of my rental homes!!!........
Can’t wait to watch the rebuild where can we watch it at ?? I have a 76 eagle I’m going to convert so looking for some good ideas 👍🏻👍🏻

Any updates?
Not yet, kyle put this project on the back burner we did do one update video
In the movie Selena the bus was called Big Bertha
When are you going to make the next video in the series?
Jennifer Lopez was in this bus!!! How cool!!!!
My wife loves surprise, and also she wants to know everything I do 😂
How far of a tow, what price for the tow?
Good job!👏😄
I may have missed it but what engine is in it? I assume thats a 6 71 but again I have no idea really.

did you check it for snakes before you opened up the cabinets?
How much did that guy pay you to move it off his property.
I remember that movie
I wonder what happened to this bus? Hey Andrew, it would be cool if you visited Bus Grease Monkey in Kentucky.
If you go to Kyles website you can see he has the staff to deal with this in house
On this bus Selena's Dad said I am not going to have this in my family. That was the scene in this bus.
There is no more videos of it 😞

The seller should look at 35 foot wonderlodges.
Those Eagles love to rust or at least the ones I have seen they just rust out compared to the GM buses that are even older
Somebody must have parked it in gear. Very common that the old square tooth 4 speeds would get hung up when parked in gear.
How much did you paid for these kind vintage coach anyway.. 10K

How are you going to show Selena and not have them say the best part of the movie. "ANYTHING FOR SELENAAAS! " 😂😂
You WILL need those access panels, trust me.
Did you buy it
Andrew why couldn’t you buy it
That will empty his pocket very quick and deep... Amen .
It's. A money PIT
I’m surprised they didn’t use the real Big Bertha.
Trans pressure plates jammed between reverse and first gear
I think you NEED TO CALL Bus grease monkey NOW
DEF not the one in the movie Salena. totally different design in the front .. If you look at pictures.
Bought unseen ? I got a bridge to sell .
Cool, please let us see the progress and finished bus, onya mate! ;)
