Just placed an order of my new boxplunge yesterday. I'm very excited to get it setup and start using it on a daily basis. 32 degrees is exactly what I've been looking for. Simon, the owner, was very responsive and very helpful in helping me to make this purchase. And thank you, David, for posting this video review. It helped me to make decision in favor of Boxplunge over the Plunge All-In.
11:07 note you can easily take the whole filter off without opening it as claimed in the video. I spot a union valve that's meant to do that. No need to replace a filter as described in the video.
@ks123458 I love it. It's efficient and very quiet. One of my deciding factors was that it gets colder than most. It was this or the firecold plunge. After seeing the firecold this past weekend glad I went with the box plunge.
There’s a reason I never talk about them. No offense to anyone who likes them but I’ve had way too much feedback, all negative. So I stick with that works. If you see a review from me, it’s because the product has been tested by me and it’s worth mentioning.
Glad to find this video. Still almost no reviews of this. I like the entry price but don't really want the tiny model. Sucks to pay $800 more :( looking to get this in a year maybe
Hey David, was considering going the ice chest diy route because how affordable/ convenient it is, I’ve seen a lot of great videos on how to do it, but I’m curious what other safety concerns are u worried about if u just unplug it before use?? Thanks in advance!
regarding the 'con' that water ceases to circulate after you get in, doesn't moving your limbs a little solve that problem? It seems to work in frozen lakes etc
I wonder about the durability and reliability of the chiller assuming it is similar to a box freezer chiller and not designed to do what it is doing in this type of application. Do you have any knowledge on the chiller? It's not really addressed on the Icebox website. I would lean toward more commercial chillers like those you've talked about on other videos, coupled with Ice Barrel and others. Thank you for all of your videos and insights, very helpful!
Nice one mate that’s like my first chest freezer DIY it did get cold, but always feel a little cramped for space. The Odin Icebath is a true icebath that also gets down to 0° Celsius, and produces its own ice, which I like it aroundt 5° Celsius but the stainless steel sides are so cold and produce ice on the surface on the inside walls🥶. A good four minutes is all you need for the day?😉✌🏻
Thanks! I thought so at first, but they are all passing in the chest through a clip that keeps the hoses from being crimped by the lid. I don’t think there will be any damage
Box Plunge is offering my viewers an Exclusive Discount using my discount code "MAUS" and this link: dmjr.co/BoxPlunge

Awesome!! Enjoy! It’s a great affordable setup!
How do you like it?
Box Plunge finally in the game 🙏🏽
It’s solid!!

Absolutely!! Just realized that and will make a follow up maintenance video soon.
Fantastic video. best cold plunge walkthrough on YT
Thanks for putting this video up. I was about to buy a modplunge for Christmas but now I've changed my mind
both are great options!!
Just got mine getting ready to set it up.
Awesome!
How is it?

I’m buying one this weekend 🤙🏻
Let’s go! 🤙🏽
Really appreciate this content. Thank you!
Thank you!
I don’t have the time or the DIY skills. This year looks like a winner winner chicken dinner thanks for the reviews.
I’m really considering getting one of these. Had a horrible experience with penguin chillers so I’m a little hesitant.

Where did you get that black bracket that’s holding your patio boss heater in your infrared doorway ? Thanks !
It came with the patio boss heater.

Make sure you unplug and water proof the inside very well. I would suggest a pond liner as well for ease of clean. I have had zero issues with mine.

Yes for sure 👍

Great review! Still feel the IB 300 diy is the best cost to diy value! Only question i have is are those the bylt pants??
Ice Barrel is still a Solid setup, no they are express... I need a deal with BYLT though, lol I love their stuff!
How do you drain the box plunge? Can you hook a hose to it to drain it or do you have to use a pump?
It comes with a separate pump used for draining. Super simple, totally forgot to mention that in the video. 😬
Hi, thanx for the video!!! - you talk about 50 Kwh... Can you please compare it to the other systems.
Greetings from austria😉
Sure thing! Basically it pulls minimal power, less than a chiller itself

You know it! Love it!
Is it safe to have these outside? I noticed it has vents but didn’t know if that was enough to protect the motor from the elements
They are rated for outdoor use but recommend under a cover. I have seen them in both settings and both seem to work well
Thanks for the review. Looks good. I noticed the lid might sit on the small hose or cord? Do you think it ight damage it over time? Thanks
Thanks! I thought so at first, but they are all passing in the chest through a clip that keeps the hoses from being crimped by the lid. I don’t think there will be any damage
Does the lid still create an air tight seal where is sits around the cord and hose?@@DavidMausJr
Would you get a box plunge over an ice barrel with a chiller?
wonderful video
Thank you!
does the box plunge heat up? for example to 104f?
No. Just cold. Not many solid options heat
What if garage is below zero. Will it freeze?
Will a normal fridge freeze? I live in FL so I have no experience with freezing garages. I would think not but dont know for sure.
Cheaper to just diy a chest freezer. Safety wise you simply unplug it…
very true, tons of options
