Well done Douglas. Cracking video at a great event. Looks like you beginning to get back to your better running after your efforts at the Manchester marathon. Keep the videos coming. Great work.
Jen is saving herself for Stirling 10k I believe - I did try and persuade her, but no luck 😂 Both unfortunately! I picked up an injury that meant I couldn’t run for the first 2 weeks after the marathon, which took around 5 or 6 weeks to properly heal. And my legs still feel beat up too 😆 I’m going for a sports massage in a couple days, so hoping that helps.
@@Scottishparkruns hey Douglas how's things? the body recovering well i hope. thought id let you know i did the Sandgate speed week last Saturday. I came 183/712 with a time of 18:58min took me 10sec to get over the start line. it was mental. 233 runners under 20min. do they do anything like this in Scotland?
Yeah starting to get back to normal! Ran a 19:45 at Elder parkrun on Saturday. Felt tougher than I’d have liked, but pleased to be back under 20mins agains. The Scottish 5K champs at Silverknowes were at the start of May. Unfortunately I had to miss it due to the injury from the marathon. Jen ran it though - think she got 17:00. There were 391 runners under 20 mins!
Good stuff Douglas always enjoy your running events. BTW what's happening with Craig these days? Thought I saw both of your names & Drumchapel a few weeks ago & was watching out for an upload. Cheers! 🤔👌👍🏃🏃🏃🏃🏃
Congratulations from Brazil! Nice race, beautiful video, good run!
Thank you 😊
Great video Douglas! You managed to get that out in no time. Always looks really polished too. Nice one.
Thanks Alan! Felt motivated this afternoon, so just got in the zone and did it 😄

Thanks Ken 😊 It’s slowly coming back! Just need to keep remind myself there’s no rush and I can just ease back into it.
Great vid! Too hot today!!! Not many PBs on my Strava feed 😂
Thanks 😊 Yeah, definitely not a PB day! I can see this being a quick route in cooler conditions, though.

Thanks Liz 😊 Yeah, we were both at Drumchapel and had a nice run followed by the cafe afterwards. He’s just decided not to be in the videos anymore.
That's too bad. Never mind as long as you keep going. I share your uploads with another expat Scot living here in OZ. We really enjoy them. 👍😁👏👏
