  • Xlendi Bay is a popular snorkeling, swimming, diving and dining spot.
There is a small shallow sandy beach perfect for young and old and nice rocky beaches around.
Beautiful view for your lunch or dinner.

Nice walk! Brings back memories and let's me compare what has changed. I was there several times in the 90s (when I was a kid with my family) and returned once on as an adult with my wife in 2013 on a nostalgia trip noting things that had changed since 1997 and things that had not changed. Now in this 2020 video again I see some changes (such as the glass walls and roof of the beach restaurant near the stairs to the mountain. When I was there the last time I think it was called Stone Crab. It may have changed too (google maps shows a different name)

Never climbed these steps, must add this walk to our ' must do ' list. You were lucky you only met one couple on those narrow steps. Thanks for sharing 😊👍

Pretty place, I can't get over how much it has grown all those new buildings . All that was there on my last visit many years ago was some houses a restaurant or two and maybe a hand full of apartments.

Even worse today, bay overshadowed by ugly high buildings. Spoilt.

@@AnnabelleJARankin Just moved there. From a fresh perspective, I couldn't agree less. One of the most beautiful places on earth. But for someone who has seen the changes over time I guess it would be difficult to not see it your way :)

@@wootboop666 Still love Xlendi but the sadness and stupidity over the new buildings and chopping down of trees is always there - it has been spoiled and lost some of its specialness. Now hard even to park there as well sometimes. Where were you living before?

is the swimming area restricted now? You used to be able to swim all the way across.

Those steps guide you to a hidden cave with the sea as Englishman showed us.
But for what was made for ?
In the past old times, such a congregations of nuns does not put of the religion tunic for swimming. But they had a much simple full body tunic with a similar had cap ..... So .... When they go for swimming, as the where dressed very ugly and they where spacial when they get out from water with that full dress all wet attached with there body, the chose that cave which is not visible from the bay, to be there private cave for swimming.
