Thank you so much for this. My son just started learning this so this will really help him Could you also do a tutorial on Reflets dans l’eau by Debussy. I think it’s a really beautiful piece that I would like to learn
Images is an EXTREMELY difficult piece, both technically and sonorifically. If your son just started learning this, then he can't be too experienced yet. I would recommend learning easier Debussy pieces, maybe Claire De Lune and Le Fille Aux Cheveux De Lin. He should only even consider learning Reflets Dans L'eau only after he can play Chopin's Waterfall Etude at an acceptable level, even that I would consider too early.
@@adityasundaram9299 i definetley agree but i think waterfall etude is a overstatement. Not because waterfall is easy but because images is harder on the left hand than the right. I personslly would argue more for the revolutionary etude

Thank you so much for another great tutorial!!! Really appreciate it! Could you make one for Le Sygne (The Swan) by Camille Saint Saens? Have a beautiful day!
Do you have any advice or tips on how to be better at sight reading? I took piano lessons for over 10 years but the truth is for some reason I've never have been good at it. I still catch myself saying every good boy does fine. Any tips? Please consider a tutorial for Rachmaninoffs Lilacs 21 5 of you can. I'm currently working on it. Thanks again for all that you do.
To get better at sight reading you will have to start at a beginner level and sight read every day a little bit. Once you get comfortable let say at a level 1 then you can go to level 2, etc. Unfortunately there are not shortcuts for that. You will have to know all rhythms, all the scales, all chords and also recognize them as you read through the music. Once you know all of this you will need to consistently practice sight reading.
@@PianoSecretsChannel Thank you so much for your response. I appreciate all the time and energy you put into this channel. I will not give up on getting better at sight reading.
