You were the only UA-camr that took the time to reply to my direct messages last year during my beach vacation, and you put me on my first ever pompano. I love your content.
Thats so awesome to hear! Really happy to have helped you catch your first Pompano! Did you eat it too?
@@JustinReedFishing I did. Unfortunately it didn’t turn out the best. I took it to a local restaurant and had them cook it up for me and it got pretty overcooked. But I’m taking another trip down to Pensacola in April and I’m hoping to replicate the catch, but cooked better lol
Dude thank you so much. Ive had such a tough time reading the beach for a while now 🎉but this video opened a new view in my head. ❤
Glad to help out! Good luck out there.
Appreciate the video! Great for showing the rips. Keep 'em coming!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I enjoy watching your videos !
Appreciate it Stephen!
Great video Justin, 2 months L. A. T. .E .R 😢😮😊 hang in there, Spring is Around the Corner 🎣🐟🐟🐟🐟 STAY SAFE GOD BLESS,, 👍
Thanks Joseph. Going to keep on grinding it our until it gets better. Hopefully the pomp start munchin good in March. Tight lines!
Dang birds! Good information on reading the beach
Thanks Brent!
Heck yeah bring on spring!!!
The sooner the better too!
Justin, thanks for the tip about those beach rips. I have passed them by, not realizing that they were prime areas to make a cast. Last February, I went surf fishing on four occasions. Managed to catch a few pomps on three of those trips. The common denominators for the days that I caught fish were : 1) the air temperature had been mild for several days prior to my surf fishing endeavors, 2) a cold front was going to be passing thru our area the next day, and 3) the surf was producing 1 1/2 - 3 foot waves.
You're welcome Glenn! Good call on the prime conditions for Pomp. I agree with everything you said. Good luck out there!
Hey Justin, u know what they say-a bad day fishing is better than….well, almost anything 😁. Appreciate your videos my friend!
Absolutely!
Another good informative video thanks justin
Appreciate it Gary!
@JustinReedFishing I've got alot to learn before I come down there in june lol
Come on Catch Cook Pelican!
Bahahaha!
Haha. I couldn't even catch a Pelican out there.
I’ll be down the last week of march in pcola. Was down last October in Navarre and had a blast! Hoping for some early spring pomps!!
Pompano bite should be getting started by then. Have a great trip and good luck!
I had so many pelicans hit my line this winter! Two of them I had to reel in and get the hooks out manually.
No fun!
February is the worst everywhere. Caught my own pelican last Feb in NC. I just got skunked last weekend .
I hope the pomp start early!
Good day on the water anyway!!
Definitely! I always enjoy my time spent on the sand.
As soon as I see a pelican coming towards my lines I start jumping up and waving my arms or they usually ram my line with 11'+ rods and I use bright colored braid
I've honestly been pretty lucky with Pelicans seeing my line. I'm just glad they didn't get all tangled up cause that's no fun to deal with.
I was gifted a small drone for Christmas from my fiance just to use to scout the beach. I can pull up to the parking lot and get a 1000 meter high view of the beach. You can see deep holes, rips, and those areas where the sandbar runs closer to shore. I'm hopeful this will help me get on the bite faster.
That's a great idea!
I've got a video on my channel of my first flight at Johnson Beach and a video of my dehydrated shrimp before and after adding color to them if you are interested. I get over to Opal Beach pretty often. I will post drone view videos from several locations as much as I can to help anyone out who's interested.
Ugh, I switched to high vis line for pelicans. I've had so many get tangled while beach & pier fishing. They're the dumbest birds alive. And yep, February is DEFINITELY the worst month for beach fishing in Florida.
Not a bad idea. Did it seem to help? I'm ready for spring! Good luck out there.
I hate to hear that February is the worst month- cuz I’ll be down there in a couple of weeks! 😆
There are still good days to be had. Hopefully the bite is good for you. Have a good time!
Thanks bro! I hope we tear it up on the charter. Hopefully we’re too tired to do any other fishing 😂 But if not, I hope we find luck either surf fishing or on some bridges or piers.
You play around too.much when hauling in your catch ..I do.like.ykur videos..good content.
I knew I'd probably loose that fish if I switched my battery out but did it anyways haha.
