I'm the white haired Reaper at like 2 minutes and something that peaces out after you guys clap the rest of the randoms lol Ironic that i come here to find some information on learning warrior and end up seeing myself on the receiving end of the build lol.
That fight against the SB should be a video short to promote the game. The combat in GW2 is so fluid and fun, a week on the newest MMO on the block made me appreciate GW2 so much more.
I've been running this exact build with trailblazer before celestial buff for like a year now and I switch to Celestial as soon as it got buffed ... Can't wait to get asked if I took my build from this video from now on LMAO
spare yourself the time, its crappy. i love celestial and tried to build something on warrior, it was quite similar to this build. it is NOT viable in a wide variety of settings
Celestial with aristocracy runes is my build for roaming as Berserk. It’s less survivability, but more burst. Using mace/shield for CC and sword/torch for burst and mobility.
@@critical-thinker666 sword leap, bull's charge and the leap and dash from rampage. It's literally the same amout of mobility than the build in the video.
@@BoiledRiceCake this build is potato tho... you can clearly see how many ppl just dont rly pay attention to war or full counter or anyhting, bcs they usualy dont have to. builds on war without gs will always have poor mobility. most classes in wvw have much better mobility than war aka thief can blink 3000 range in 2 sec, while you gona burn all your cds do move half of that XD and than you gona die bcs you have nothing left =) meta build slb with superspeed and sword/shield is able to kite forever basicly.
@@critical-thinker666 Yeah it is pretty clear that the people he's fighting are not very experienced, though this build has decent mobility. It's not the best mobility even by warrior's standards, but it's hardly bad. As for Berserker with celestial...eh. Berserker is a huge gimmick, and there is little damage on mace/shield. There's F1, and then you can apply some weakness through Body Blow, but it really isn't that good, and smart people will just kite when you're in Berserker, and then pressure you after it has ended, and since Berserker lacks defenses, you just die.
I'd make some changes to the build, Sigil of Battle over torment on LB, Rune of Fireworks because it gives excellent boons that last a long time (and you also get mobility on LB). With all of this, might would be on average at 10-15 with frequent spikes to 20-25, with a fury and vigor uptime of around 50%. More might means way more hybrid damage, more sustain AND more endurance ! That said, thanks Vallun for sharing interesting and novel builds, your theorycrafting seems to be really, really sound even if I am nitpicky on some details !
I've been running a similar build for a long time and I think Aristocracy are better than Fireworks for the most part, Fireworks is great for the movement increase but the might duration on Aristocracy actually provides a higher average might and provides it in more predictable bursts (since you're the person who triggers it rather than having a timer on it) Having tried both I found that Fireworks had better matchups vs Mesmers and Thieves just because of their inate evasion making it hard to proc Aristo but in most other matchups Aristo is far more powerful. Sigil of Battle is a LOT better than Torment on LB having done both.
@@meemigemeemes7875 Yes, its been buffed considerably by the defense traitline rework. I go Discipline + Defense + Spellbreaker. The main thing in defense is the bottom row on the first trait applying weakness on burst hit so you can proc Aristocracy with a longbow burst .
Hammer plus sword/mace is the best for Aristocracy. You basically CC your enemy to death. The only problem is long-ranged fights. For those, Longbow plus sword/warhorn is the best, but you will need speed runes and speed runes.
@@Vallun Yeah - It takes quite a while before you kill someone, but they will never be able to escape. It's really funny because they just bleed slowly to death while basically locked in CC. It's incredibly (surprisingly) strong vs Ele, Engi (Except flamethrower users), Necro, and Thief, and best used in small scale. The only real problem is that you have to choose between Core or Spellbreaker. I'd say Core has more damage because of Arms, but Spellbreaker has more survivability and CC potential.
Celestial is better for core warrior than its elite specs. It's a build that's been around for a while now. It uses S/W or S/A + LB. Another unusual build, which I personally love because it's fun, is the weakness bleeder Spell Breaker. It uses Mace/Mace + Hammer. Although one can argue that core warrior is better at it. Using carrion + trailblazer gears, enemies are stun-locked to death. Use warrior or aristocracy runes. Best played in a duo.
i use the core celestial Sword/warhorn - longbow warrior and it's actually pretty good. the shout mechanic makes the boon duration and the healing power matter a lot.
Core, better? Well, tactics wouldn't hurt and you could make it a support build, but I don't know that it's better because it'd lack defenses really badly. As it is, Spellbreaker synergises really well, with FC giving Protection, and dishing out Slow + Cripple + triggering Body Blow and either copying conditions, or applying the tether (which is probably the better choice tbh). And also, come now, double mace hammer is just a huge meme that has no damage to speak of, and almost no defenses, and if your enemy can dodge your CC, or blinds you, and starts putting in damage, you simply do not recover.
@@Camustang Double mace, like I told you, is for fun. You'd be surprised how much damage it actually does along with hammer. Your enemy gets disabled to death with no means of escaping. Use Carrion with Warrior Runes, Hydro/Geo for your Maces, and Impact/Paralysation or Intelligence or Doom for your Hammer. You basically spam bleeding, daze, launch, stun and weakness - then you have the burst damage from mace 4 and hammer 2 - 5 - 2. All of this happens relatively easily because you basically have NO COOLDOWNS. Scared of damage? You have 31k Health. The only problem here is when you come up against a Stability monster. Core warrior is better for celestial. Defense and Discipline are both mandatory (The third is up to you). And when using celestial, only Sword/Warhorn or /Axe + Longbow works.

Hey Vallun, haven't properly looked into how it would work yet, but thinking about it after watching your video - wouldn't a celestial Berserker build be viable too? I imagine you would be able to get some pretty good quickness uptime for example
Could this be used effectively in conquest in your opinion as a roamer? Edit: I love longbow warrior, i used to play core longbow/hammer and longbow/gs it was so fun to play(not meta even back then after heart of thorns)
Only issues with Body Blow is frankly the bleed application as it could be far superior. Playing Body Blow SpB without longbow is quite the task. Dual sword/Hammer is the idea.
Hammer is nice though half the skills not dealing any power damage is a big problem. There are 2 skills that deal any damage, and then the auto-attack which you won't use, really. All the LB skills are useful, in comparison, and deal both condition and power damage. The weapons just don't compare !
