I found an antique snowblower today. 36 year old Ariens 2 stage. Fired up on 3rd pull.. needs $20 in parts and a few hours of work, but she's fully operational. Great vid btw!! Ps, it was free!!
I did the same thing to my 5x10 except i jusy slapped on a ton of rustoleum green paint and about 15 cans of clear coat Came out pretty good.I plan on getting a 7x14 enclosed by the end of the year.
If you take used motor oil and diesel fuel and mix it at a 50/50 mix. And apply it to your deck, it will water proof it. It will soak in the wood and not be slick. I bought a new trailer in 2004 and it still has the original deck and it still solid. I treat it about every two years and my trailer sets outside year round. You can use a paintbrush or paint roller or sprayer to apply it. Myself I use a cheap paintbrush as it doesn't throw over spray, nothing to clean up and just throw it away. Takes about half an hour. Just something for you to think about.
Oh brother. Can't envy the northern rust. I am glad you roughed up the old paint. A paint job is only as good as the prep. I'm really partial to gloss because it cleans up better. I'm glad you used krylon because the Rust Oleum bedliner i used on a Jobox was garbage, it flaked off too easy.
I painted the metal runners and ramps of my 18' car-hauling trailer with bedliner. Makes for a great non-skid surface when things get wet. That way, the car doesn't slide around on the slick surface Even painted diamondplate is slippery. If you don't believe me, YOU try loading a car that is wearing racing slicks onto a trailer in the rain. I used almost an entire gallon to do the two 18-foot by 18" wide runners and the 5-foot long ramps, rolling it on nice and thick.
You are an awesome teacher! I have a trailer very similar with higher walls. I want to add some D-Links so I can j hook a motorcycle bar across the front. I bet I could weld the D links to the frame if I can find some the same depth as the wood. Thank you!
Very impressed to see your videos men how old are you u look lk my 17 year old nephew very young but the fact that you have your own landscaping business at such of young age Talk a lot about you kid have great season
Nice job buddy I got a lawn care company here in Roswell Georgia love that paint job on your trailer I recently purchased a rack them weeds eater rack because of your review great videos men good luck
Trailer rims rusty around edges....leave them black I say....or paint them neon green or purple. It'll be good to see the mowing work this year. Good luck and God bless
Good job on the trailer.that bedliner stuff is the way to go on work trailers I think.I’ve been thinking about doing my tilt bed with satin black house paint due to it being small(6X7),kinda light duty and old(70’s vintage snowmobile trailer)but I might do it with bedliner instead. I’m going to get a 5X10 like your trailer in a couple years but my trailer is looking bad.i haven’t painted it in over 15 years, lol !
Going to do this to my top hat trailer this weekend. Wanted to see what someone else’s turned out like first ha. At the sake of sounding redundant, for the love of god, wear that N95 next time you paint. Great vid, bud.
I would suggest any kind of mask preferably with filters when dealing with rust dust and paint especially if your indoors without any kind of Ventilation
Nice work!! However I do think the gloss white looks better on the wheels.. kinda brakes up the solid black color and with glossy paint it seems to clean up better.. just my opinion!! Love the videos and all your hard work
Wyatt's lawn service He wants to but does not seem very motivated. We did it together for 3 years and I sold everything. It sure if I want to get back in the game.
Hey wyatt im 17 and this is my second year working for a lawn care company and when i graduate would like to start my own company... how did you first start to get clients?
I want to paint our 5 X 8 utility trailer with Raptor liner but I'm unsure of how much to get. I think people usually spray 2 coats on if I remember right.
Bro, I can't believe it took me this long to drop in and say Sup!!! Candle burning at both ends bud, but I ain't tellin you nothin you don't already know!! Great little video bud, trailer came out sweet. Def. more professional looking, and it's impressive a man of your age, would be business oriented enough to even think of freshening the trailer up for a more professional appearance!! Until the next one, Dirty Jersey out!!!
About time! Haha. Just messing broski! And I definitely think everyone should try and look more professional. Helps to make more $$$ on quotes too haha!
Awesome work ! I do auto body paint and heavy equipment , Paul’s auto body on FB Nice presentation Like your hard work and Mind set to get it done 💪, noticed it was cold weather but you found a shed with good old stove to cure it . Now make sure you wear a mask next time that stuff not good for ya, granted it not your life as it is mine . God bless and wish you the best in all you do 2021 💥🙌
Great video and good work young man ! It’s great to see someone your age that’s not afraid of work. Keep it up and good luck in the future ! I subscribed for you !
Not at all. But this is a thicker paint. It doesn't dust stuff quite like normal spray paint. but if I had anything that I was worried about in there I would have covered it up anyway
@@wyattslawnservice7212 ok, didn't think about it being recorded that way. I don't keep up with the video tech. The real-time, no music ASMR videos are very popular.
They are! I just find them boring to watch so I don't make them haha. Although I probably will do that some this summer with mowing, hedge trimming, etc...
It's excellent for some of the properties I need it for. I only use the 21" for 2 of my properties. It saves way more time over the 21". If you buy one I'd get used in a heartbeat. They have multiple parts that go out once or twice a season (depending on use) and you might as well buy used. $1000 is a ton for a timemaster (new)
I don't know that I really want local people to find that stuff too often haha! The occasional person is fine. But I don't want to be advertising it haha
Great job young man, I can tell you’re really sharp and got a good head on your shoulders. Kudos to your parents!
He's actually 52 but he just looks really young.
We need more kids like this
This young man has a professional video/TV personality. Speaks very. Know his stuff. great job.
Nice work, I did the wood deck of my trailer 6 years ago and it's still in great shape!
So you used bedliner on your wood floor on your trailer? Did it look pretty good ?
@@davidbryant5875 Yes it looks/works great. My previous trailer it lasted 7 years and still looked good when I sold it.
Wish I was like you at your age. 21 working on my masonry business thank you for this.
You are an impressive individual! Great job! I was on the fence about doing mine, but you sold me on it!
this was a great idea, don't know why I didn't think of it.
Inspired to try this myself after purchasing a used trailer. Thank you!

I like the durability of bedliner. But it definitely doesn't clean up well haha! And ya I used the Rust-Oleum in the past and it was crap 😂🤦♂️

I painted my wood 3 coats redwood stain ,my trailer I touch it up with gloss black, yours looks great
Appreciate it man! And That stain would look nice!
Exactly what I needed, thanks man!
This is what I need for my trailer
It came out really nice. I'm going to try and do my 16ft pipe top but i think its going to take like 84 cans.
You did great kid👍👍👍👍👍👍👍I can dig it.
Great job young fella.
Project Farm tested a variety of rust paints and POR 15 came out on top.

Thanks James!!
blue lock tight the bolts for the trimer rack so the road vibrations dont make them come loose
Ok gotcha! Works crazy well then! Ha!
Good job!!! You should use a paint mask when in such a closed garage.
Thanks!👍
awesome idea buddy

Black wheels👍! Do the back of the rims. That’s where they rust through!

Where did you have your sign on the gate made?
My son wants to do landscaping. What year were you born and when did you start doing this?
I'm 19. Started when I was 12. This will be my second year professional though
Wyatt's lawn service
He wants to but does not seem very motivated. We did it together for 3 years and I sold everything. It sure if I want to get back in the game.
I am about to paint mine... did the paint hold up with out the primer? how is it after 1 year?
It did! Really well actually. But it probably wouldn't hurt to use some self etching primer first just to make it last even longer
Hey wyatt im 17 and this is my second year working for a lawn care company and when i graduate would like to start my own company... how did you first start to get clients?
I started when I was 12 with flyers. Now I use door hangers though
@@wyattslawnservice7212 if i just got a couple hundred and put them on people's doors think i would get 20 or so calls?
Probably a pretty good guess
Where did you get a sign that bug made at? Or order from
It was $100 from a local sign shop. I'd call your local ones and see what they say 🙂
@@wyattslawnservice7212 you got some killer stuff and videos brother. Keep up the killer work
Great job. Any thoughts on doing the decking? Also now seeing how easy it was and how it looks I guess I should do mine. The black rims are better.
I would use a black weather resistant stain for it. The previous owner for my trailer did that and it's held up pretty dang good
Glad someone likes the rims haha!
Use a 50/50 mix of used motor oil and diesel. Cheaper than stain and lasts longer. I posted on this subject here.
Wyatt's lawn service I was just thinking it might make it less slippery
It absolutely would. If it was going to be my mowing trailer then I'd do that. But I want the slick to remove debris from it
What do you use for the banner on the back gate
It's a sheet of metal. J
Had the sign made at a local shop for $100 OTD
Where did you get your business sign behind the trailer?
A local shop made it for $100😉👍
Great job
Thanks man!🙌 Appreciate you watching 😁👊
What is the coupler height on the 5x8 trailer? Thx!!
Good video!
what size trailer? and how many cans did you end up useing ? thanks

Did you get a black dust on everything in the garage?
Not at all. But this is a thicker paint. It doesn't dust stuff quite like normal spray paint. but if I had anything that I was worried about in there I would have covered it up anyway
Did you spray on a degreaser first? Didn't show that part.
And can you please upload the pressure washing footage in real-time with no music?
I did spray purple power degreaser first. Helped a ton! I only recorded it in timelapse. But I may do a real time one at some point in the future

I don't see why not. My old 54" badboy fit on my 5x8 just fine 😄👍
Wyatt's lawn service ok cool
What blower rack is that?
How many cans did you use?
5 i believe. If i would have used primer first then it probably would've only needed 2 for paint and 2 for primer
How did it hold up kiddo?
Your Intro Video for your Lawn Service is pretty good! The background music in the rest of it... not so much.
You make it look easy! But I know that was a time consuming project.
Haha thanks! It was over the course of a couple of days. I had to do it around work at the pizza place (my winter job) as well :)
How big is the trailer?
5x10
Is that your trailer sitting next to the jeep ?
Not the aluminum that's my dad's. It's super light and easy to move around by hand. But it's 4x7 so it's basically useless for me haha
