14 years, and only 14 comments. I guarantee that this song will be appreciated much more in the future. in a short few years, this will jump from the current 1800 views (in 14 years) to the millions. AI is a blessing and a massive curse.
You are correct in that this is unedited, post production, but the audio in the house sounded amazing. This did not. They wouldn't let us use our own engineer to mix the signal for TV (effects, verbs, etc.). We only brought amps, drums, keys etc. and were not allowed to use our own mics. Those are Conan's sm-58s. Nothing wrong with them. Monitors are an issue and mix was an issue. And nerves were an issue. ha ha. I hope we'll improve if there's a next time. :-)
Dude, it's 2023 as I write this, I have loved your now-long-defunct band for 15 years, you and your cousins/sisters sound wonderful, and I never noticed a sound problem. I just wish....you....guys....would....get...back...together.
I started listening to Eisley in 2005 when Yahoo! Music (yup, it was a thing) started putting them into my rotation. Bought all their albums and EP's and got to see them in a small club in Cleveland, OH in 2008 (got some autographs!!!!). Still absolutely *LOVE* this music 19 years later. Sure, this performance isn't CD quality, but still better than 99% of the live recordings I see on YT. Anyone complaining about it is just nitpicking. I'd love to see a reunion tour. Hopefully, the family can get past any issues they have. I was estranged from my siblings for 20 years and realized family is more important than petty squabbles. I subscribed to you in hopes that one day there will be good news.
takara, your assessment is incorrect. This is raw audio without post production editing, compounded by the quality of the audio on your TV or computer. Any issue you have with the sonic quality shouldn't be directed toward Conan's production. The biggest irony of your comment is that all the equipment belongs to Eisley, and that they're not using Conan's mics.
Boydd, thank you for the clarification on the mics (I like sm-58s). So if I understand your comment, the issues were Monitors (looks like a placement issue), mix (does your engineer mix - the one they wouldn't let you use?), and nerves. Ever consider using an Aviom A16II? Or is that not an option?
Hm Well then I guess Eisleys equiment and the quailty of this youtube version is a pitty. :P But I have to say Eisley does great with bad quailty or not. So I guess its not much of a big anyways, you know? :] Thank you pizzafrenzy for clearing it up to me. Haha I just love falling into Irony. X]
Eisley did a great performance!!! but the conan stage sound was awful. XP this was suprising coming from a show that gets so much views but they dont have the sense to improve the sound from the microphones, back drop, etc. :/ Never the less Eisley still passed through that pretty well with flying colors. :]
