    Can you imagine how nice that stone home would of been. Now that’s something worth saving do you anything more about the mine what they were mining and when it was built/working. Cheers this stuff is something I love.

      Amazing hey! Yeah it was an old guy named Charlie. Think he made a fair bit of money there over 30 years and then allowed camping there for tourists too. He’s moved on now tho and I’m not sure what happened to his lease.

      Wild Reaches absolutely amazing and so much history 30 years out there the old man would have some ripper yarns. Was it gold mining do you know or something else the machinery looks like it might have been gold. When it got opened up to camping it would have been a good place to visit I’d love it and know many more that would as well. Always appreciate your reply’s cheers big fella.

    Pretty sure that is the place known as the Bottle House, just out of Coen. The old bloke who used to be there did tours for tourists. Looks like he has been gone a while now though. Always was a strange old place.

      @@WildReaches that thing you were looking at just before you left was the hopper and screen deck that fed the sluice for gold extraction. The shaft may have been near but they may also have been mining the hill in the background and using the little tractor loader to bog the dirt to the hopper. That homestead is absolutely amazing.

      Agree that this 100% sound is overwhelming, especially bass. Your voice is super low in all videos. If you need tech advice, reach out as I can give advice if need be. Thanks.

    • @WildReaches
      @WildReaches  2 роки тому

      Yeah Its Old Charlies mine. If you do some research on Charlies mine in Coen you'll see its abandoned but after mining there for years he opened up a little camping area there.
