    It's Westbrook or Harden. There's no debate for LeBron or Durant. They have significantly better teammates. Harden alone is responsible for over 50% of Houston's points a game, he is their offense. Westbrook is putting up 30-11-11 a game. Whoever wins more games between those two will likely get it.

      no lebron and kd are in the mix look at their numbers and they will have wins look at bird he won 3x times in a row with 3 other hof . But i say harden has the best chance to win

    • @basketballgod2791
      @basketballgod2791 7 років тому +6

      Yea true but the problem is we all know if Lerbon gets injured rockets and okc become better than the cavs because Kyrie is not a traditional point guard so somebody would still need to run the offense or the Cavs probably miss the playoffs or barely make it

      Commandosoap777 westbrook had the best chance to win. 1 hes putting up historical numbers that alone gets him attention 2 his season series with harden is tied 1-1 but hes clearly outplayed harden in those matchups avg 28-8-10-2 to hardens 18-7-12

      joe draw their team HAS to be 1st or 2nd seed. At best 3rd. No chance for harden or Westbrook

      I think SAS has a good point when he said Lebron is averaging his numbers while other players are averaging high numbers as well not to mention Lebron is dishing out most of the assist and averaging a high number of rebounds even with TT and Love.

      How many games have the cavs win when he sits down? Kyrie and love are great, but all they do is score with love rebounding, they would get their numbers and they do without Lebron but they don't win because the cavs don't have any other player who make other better and play making. Look how bad the cavs are when Lebron sits, all you have is one on one scoring and team plays much worse. Lebron isn't far off, still Harden is the MVP but you're an idiot if you think Lebron doesn't belong in the conversation

      Video game turnover too. Man's a beast but efficiency is trash. He gets 55 wins and triple double then ya sure give it. I mean if Lebron wanted to he could play more minutes and average 1 more assist and 2 more rebounds (or just go for them instead of running the fast break) and he would average a easy triple double shooting like 50-55% with insane efficiency (very few turnovers). As of right now I say its all about the wins, if Cleveland hits 60 = give it to lebron (he is the best player on the planet and the most valuable player the league has ever seen). If they dont hit 60 and houston gets 55-57 maybe harden, okc hits around 55 with a triple double (+5 t.o a game) then you give it to westbrook just for the media/fans.

Put some respect on both Westbrook and Harden name, and Harden led his team to 56 wins with a injured roster in 2014-2015 LeBron aint never do that either.

    • @RicoPointer

      Semion Johnson So your saying RW and JH are better than Lebron? Lebron James won 4 NBA MVps' made to 6 straight finals 3 rings 3 finals MVps, Everything I just named is way better than a great STATISTICAL Season. Lebron wins when it counts most. Rings over Stats #Facts

    • @semionjohnson1351
      @semionjohnson1351 7 років тому +4

      RJPointer Man LeBron got his rings because he formed a super team in Miami their is no denying that if he would have stayed with the Cavs and been loyal he probably would only have won ring right now also going to 6 straight finals with a super team isn't as impressive as most people think not to mention he is in the eastern conference which has been trash for years now, Westbrook and Harden are still young at the end of their careers their resumes might just be better than LeBron's unlike Lebron their not leaving their team to chase rings then come back to that team to win another ring with kyrie and Kevin love two already proven all stars.

    LeBron is great but he will not win MVP, and nor does he care to. LeBron could be voted MVP every year if he really wanted to because he is just the valuable to his team, but the MVP has become more about who puts up the most impressive numbers rather than who is truly the most valuable. Westbrook will more than likely win it just due to his numbers alone.

    • @evolution71
      @evolution71 7 років тому +12

      Delish no you're wrong, the numbers have to come with wins, all the guys who have won MVP have seen their teams end up with one of the top 2 records in their conference. OKC won't end up top 3

      Disgree. It's Most Valuable Player. Not Best Player. Lebron might be the best in the league, he's not automatically the Most Valuable. The Cavs would make the playoffs in the East without him given their current roster. I'm not convinced he's more valuable to his team than Russell is to the Thunder.

      No. They are 4-17 without LeBron in the last three years. That's Philadephia 76ers level bad. Kyrie Irving never led the Cavs to 35 wins while LeBron was in Miami. That said, I tend to agree with you the Thunder would be much worse without Westbrook.

    Watch LeBron James win the MVP with 65 wins, and everyone hate on him for denying Westbrook and Harden. In my opinion, LeBron James simply deserves it because no matter how great Westbrook and Harden are, they are also stat padders, Westbrook is my second favourite player but i routinely watch his games and i routinely see him leave his man to grab rebounds for his stats. Harden has a case, but he is also a turnover machine. If any of these three players win im good, just dont give it to steph curry lmao, that convo last year killed me.

      99 I'm not even going to pay you no mind you are delusional keep hating while Harden wins MVP and lead his team deep in the playoffs, Harden is already a top 5 shooting guard of all time behind MJ, Kobe, D wade, and AI nothing you say and or think will change that ask anybody who actually knows basketball how good Harden is I guarantee you that will all say he is on another level but unintelligent people like yourself can't comprehend it.

    • @crhuynh8
      @crhuynh8 7 років тому +1

      +Semion Johnson stating the facts doesn't make you a hater. You have to follow the rockets to understand how frustrating we have such a selfish player like harden, who just thinks and talks about himself being delusional about the best player and mvp when the fact is that he is not and not even close. We would rather have a player like KD, Curry, lebron, kawhi and even Westbrook who focus on team success and championship first than his individual inflated stats and imaginative mvp.
      Harden has been delusional and over his head since losing out the mvp to Curry two years ago. During playoff, he again performed so poorly became the TO machine because all he thought about himself rather than the success. Luckily, the coach benched him, and of course, clippers was self destruction to help the rockets to WCF. But again, thanks to harden's selfishness and losing out.
      Next season (meaning last season) he not only didn't come to prepare the season after what all he did was whining about being mvp and best player, but he also singlehandedly destroyed the whole team chemistry due to selfishness to hog ball to inflate his stats after all the years rockets spent to build deep championship run.
      This year, not surprising again, harden switches to pg before the season to take advantage of D'antonio system to inflate his stats. Yes, rockets has a winning season. Thanks to D'antonio system which it has already proven to win a good number of wins in season. But without D (particular to harden), do you actually think they will win championship?
      That is what all the ppl who know basketball (including professional analysts, hof players and the league) seem to under appreciate harden, but the truth is the inflated numbers don't fool us who knows basketball, unlike casual fans, who just read stat sheet rather than watching the game.

    • @UtotheJ
      @UtotheJ 7 років тому +1

      It's non-sense because you can't comprehend it, which is rather ironic that the rest of your statement is ALL statistics.
      EWA (Estimated Wins Added): Westbrook 9.1, Harden 8.9, James 6.7
      RPM Wins: Westbrook is responsible for 5.66 of Thunder's 16 wins (35%); Harden at 6.94 of Rockets' 21 wins (33%) and James at 5.12 of Cavs' 19 wins (27%). To simplify, Westbrook and Harden each account for more wins (this season).
      TS% (True Shooting): Westbrook 53.8%, Harden 60.7%, James, 59.5%
      TO% (Turnover Ratio): Westbrook 12.3, Harden 13.9, James 11.7
      There should be no doubt that James is the best player of this generation, but merely top 5 in this season's MVP conversation is already generous.

    People need to stop with this east being trash thing and acting like the Cavs actually play PHI every night. The stats? How the schedule goes?
    Houston 9 Games against the East- (6-3); 16 against the West (12-4)
    OKC : 12 Games against the East (8-4); 12 games against the West (7-5)
    Cavs: 18 games against the East (14-4); 4 games against the West (3-1)
    So…the Rockets, Thunder, and Cavs have played comparable games against their own conference. If the East is so weak…then the Rockets and Thunders should be 15-1 and 12-0, respectively, against the East. But they aren’t.
    Think about it like this: The West looks like trash compared to SAS and GSW, right? Why is that? Because they are that GOOD of teams.
    The East looks like trash, not against a team, but against LEBRON. Why is that? Because HE, SINGULAR, IS THAT GOOD.
    Put Lebron on any team in the West and they’d have 6, going on 7, conference finals appearances too.
    Man, that bothers me.

      EXACTLY. People act like if they switch to a 16 top record teams for the playoffs itll be all west. No. Last year, for example?
      2016 16 BEST TEAMS PLAYOFF:
      1. GSW-W
      2. SAS-W
      3. CAVS-E
      4. RAPS-E
      5. OKC-W
      6. LAC-W
      7. MIA-E
      8. ATL-E
      9. CHAR-E
      10. BOSTON-E
      11. INDY-E
      12. DET-E
      13. POR-W
      14. CHI-E
      15. MEM-W-
      16. WASH-E
      That's 10 of the top 16 coming from the East. this is all i'm saying. Yeah, but the east is "weak". Where the rest of the West at?
      And lets go back 6 years in the finals.
      West were repsented by Dallas, OKC, SA, SA, GSW, GSW. You mean to tell me that you don't believe that if Lebron was on a team in that conference that he couldnt beat them to make the Conference finals? LOL.

      Yup. Even though Harden lead his inferior team without Dwight for half the season and put up greater stats than Curry all around, Curry easily ran away with the MVP because the media said that Curry's team had the best record in the NBA. The media was saying that it doesn't matter what amazing stat lines Harden was putting up, or that he managed to take a much less talented team to the 2nd seed, he would not win the MVP because his team is not the top seed in the West.
      But this season, its about who's putting up better stats. Its ridiculous that they would choose Westbrook because of his triple doubles. Harden's stats compared to Westbrook is not that far apart. Westbrook averages 3 more rebounds per game, and scores 2 more points than Harden despite shooting a lot more per game.

I'll take him over either of those two every day no question. But I think overall, even if you look at all-time ranking, I think there are a lot of players who are way more skillful than LeBron. They might not necessarily be better or let's say more impactful but just from a pure basketball skill level they were or are better but nobody EVER had a body and power and athleticism like him. Russell is the only one maybe but not as big.

Not to mention Lebron has a top 3 pg beside him while Westbrook has no superstar playing with him. The top two candidates to me are Russell Westbrook and James Harden. Those two are winning a lot of games with no stars around them. They know what they have to do and right now these two are the best candidates for the MVP.

    • @seriouslyfuckutube
      @seriouslyfuckutube 7 років тому +1

      you saying harden is worse than westbrook on defense leads me to believe youre either biased or isnt watching both players. harden this season is playing defense. not calling him a great or even good defender but he is decent. westbrook has poor decisionmaking in both ends of the floor and goes for steals when there isnt any good opportunity to do so, leaving his man with a clear lane to the basket. him also going for every rebound leaves his defensive assignment wide open. theyre about the same on the defensive end, but on the offensive end harden is a better player, mostly due to him being a lot smarter and makes the right decisions.

    Ill give it to Westbrook or Harden this year, but i dont actually doubt LBJ as the MvP. Just like MJ with 5 MvPs when we all know he should actually have 9.

      If you know basketball, harden is being benefit from D'antonio system, which it is why it is another of his selfish act to switch to pg so he can inflate his numbers rather than focusing on his no D effort.... If ppl are going to be fooled by inflated number, D'ANTONIO deserves the coach of the year than mvp for harden, who is D'antonio's system made product ... Who deserves for the mvp is Westbrook, KD (without emotional attachment for his decision), kawhi and Chris paul (but lately, the clippers haven't looked so good)

    Broussard has to mention that Harden is averaging nearly 6 turnovers per game while Nash averaged a bit above 3 in his MVP season. Nash is a classic player who's value stemmed from way more than his numbers. Phoenix before he arrived literally turned from basement dwellers to contenders because of his arrival. In 2006 Stoudemire was injured essentially the entire season and they were second seed in the west and won 54 games. Harden has way better raw numbers, but because Nash's numbers for an MVP were relatively low, I think people look back and diminish what he did with those teams. There was a reason why he won MVP at the time. What he did with those Suns was amazing, but people just look back at his per game stats and say well he shouldn't have won with those numbers.

    • @xiami11
      @xiami11 7 років тому +3

      lmao look at this guy ... even when westbrook is averaging a triple double these retards defend lebron, yeah bro we know lebron is the best in the league, but not in the regular season because he probably doesnt care, he wants to win titles , also he plays with a top3 pg aka kyrie and klove , he can afford to take it easy unlike westbrook
      i also think he shouldve won it last year , like westbrook deserved it 2 seasons ago when they didnt make the playoffs so they didnt give it to him
      if westbrook ends up averaging a triple double and okc makes the playoffs it should be impossible not to give it to him

    • @wrdcreative492
      @wrdcreative492 7 років тому +3

      xiami you're right..BUT...it depends on what Harden does.Westbrook can still average a triple double, but if Houston is sniffing a 3-4 seed with Harden averaging like 12 assists? and OKC is a 7-8? that's harden, all day. Unfortunately

  • @SorinVBogdan

    The Cavs have Irving and Love and Smith and whoever you wanna bring up, but without Lebron, they would barely be a playoff team

    • @Pacers2k7
      @Pacers2k7 7 років тому +1

      you said BARELY. Even though thats not true because the bottom 2 in the east will be either .500 or below that still making a playoff spot. Take Harden off Hou they are a lottery team and take Westbrook off OKC and they are a lottery team. They are everything to their teams, Lebron is the most important piece for Championship aspirations
