We didn't "bully" LeBron for winning the cup. We made fun of a self indulgent ass for popping champagne & hanging a banner when a franchise icon said, "we only hang championship banners here."
Doesn't matter the format, the changes or ideas Adam Silvers bring up to the tablet. The issue is and always has been players mentality and attitude. Doesn't matter what you do if the players aren't into it is always gonna a failure.
I actually mentally checked out of the nba when I saw my Celtics weren’t truly concerned with that trophy. Post all star break has always been the point of the season where everyones at there best or almost there.
to make it matter winning the nba cup should equal 5 games in the win standings so if you finish 45 37 it would mean u finish 50 and 32 or somethinglike that
I mean the obvious solution was to simply shorten the calendar so the regular season games are actually a big thing and there's less need to load-manage. That's what people have really been asking for. There is absolutely no need in playing the same team in 3 times in 1 week. It's ridiculous, especially for us international viewers who have to stay up late and follow other sports. Just make it about 60 games long. The only reason people cared last year is because they wanted to win the 1st one ever. It's been a bad idea from day 1
people don’t like the NBA Cup? I don’t really go on Twitter so I genuinely didn’t know that. I personally really like it, I actually think they need to extend it and make it last slightly longer
Thing is, it was a cup that no one asked for, and we know that none of the players care, so why should we,like you said the media clearly doesn't care about it...but people weren't bullying LeBron we were laughing at the absolute crap he or his insufferable fanbase were spouting, like "the Lakers should put a championship banner up" that's just embarrassing, but until certain players start taking their job seriously and not just thinking "I'm getting paid regardless, I don't feel like playing tonight" fans won't be engaged with the league, I mean take English football for example if like Mo Salah, Bukayo Saka and Erling Haaland, as well as a few others took that attitude, casual fans wouldn't watch, something needs to be done about certain players attitudes towards the sport

Adam Silver is an awful commissioner. His only good moves as a commissioner was adding the NBA Cup and banning Donald Sterling but that was a layup
