I've only just found out about this film after just reading that this year 2024 the own uk's Jasmin Paris has become the first woman to complete it. What an achievement, well done Jasmine. The country is proud of you. I've got to find this film somewhere now so i can fully apprciate her achievement.
It is truly bonkers and wonderful (the film that is). Lazarus is a true eccentric....

This is my favorite documentary. It's so buddhist, it's human beings creating their own meaning and purpose in life. I feel like crying when I watch this.
This was the only teacher recommended documentary that I actually watched and genuinely enjoyed. 10/10 would recommend.
next time when I feel tired in gym, rugby field or road, I remember John Fegyveresi's struggle.

The song that plays in the first 20 seconds was composed for the film by Tyler Gibbons. Its name that appears on Ty's website tygibbons.com is "Info Graphic" because it plays during the info graphics in the film. It doesn't appear on any albums as far as we know, but you can find Ty's music on Red Heart The Ticker albums (link posted above).

The Barkley seems to getting easier these last few years with multiple finishers.
The race has lost its mystique and aura with how well known its become.
The Barkley was built upon secrecy. From entering the race ,course description, start time etc.
Even by now Laz would on some level be sick and tired of talking about Barkley.
He's breaking his own rule.

The course changes every year. How’s that fair? How do they know it can be completed in the time? Seems like a draft race. No real competition year on year.
