Well, most Russian soldiers are volunteers/contractors. Mobilized personnel are reservists who were technically still a part of the army just in civilian life. If you a Russian doesnt want to fight in Ukraine he doesnt have to. Russia does not use conscripts in battle. Russian Army already has enough volunteers/contractors and prisoner volunteers to fill their ranks. But it seems they need another mobilization because Ukraine is just conscripting hundreds of thousands and outnumbering the Russians once again.

They pay for your college, and you pay them back in years of service, so you can go to college and not get in ANY debt, get out of the Army, and have a guaranteed job right afterword. That’s why joining the army is really useful and if you don’t have a career plan, I would recommend it. It doesn’t pay that great, you are correct, but the pay really isn’t horrible. And again, free college, and guaranteed job. Worth it imo.

@@lo-rez But the point of the army isn’t to make money, you misunderstand the benefits to joining the army. They pay for your college, and you pay them back in years of service, so you can go to college and not get in ANY debt, get out of the Army, and have a guaranteed job right afterword. That’s why joining the army is really useful and if you don’t have a career plan, I would recommend it. It doesn’t pay that great, you are correct, but the pay really isn’t horrible. And again, free college, and guaranteed job. Worth it imo.
